At least with Susy her song is more Portugal and less OGAE pandering

Sorry to both camps, but to my ears the songs of Catarina and Suzy sound quite similar. I can see both camps loving/liking the the other camp's song. Why so much hate?
It's just that Mea Culpa sounds more European dance and also more suitable for Eurovision to me, while Suzy's song is more Brazilian and also 'rougher' traditional Latin pop.

It seems they like it rough!

Yup I'm going to agree....Portugal edges out Belarus

Unlike Belarus Portugal had a semi the week before, week wide voting, made everyone sing again, had endless tributes/performances, super super finalists and then took even more time to separately bring out the trophy and read the results all with only 5 contestants competing

Yes I was and I was happy they did that

But I didn't think that would make the final drag out that long, especially with only 5 contestants....I got nervous with who was going to win and doing all of that made me more anxious

I must admit, I don't find it horrible. It could qualify, but hopefully it will get a revamp.

There is no time for a revamp, because there is only 2 days left for the deadline.

The main difference is that Catarina's song is one for the Eurogays to go nuts to. Suzy's song sounds like something the Eurogays would have gone nuts to in 1990.
