I see, Portugal is hungry for victory, but I like when countries send a song just for entertainment... It's not just Eurovision; football has also recently been a subject to that because of globalization and everybody seeks guaranteed success. I miss good old times.

It doesn't have to be all the time, joke entries, interesting or strange songs are also what make this contest even more fun. But of course Portugal wants to win at least once so they will be more serious about it.

We'll return. The problem is the something good part. RTP is pretty stupid, and they don't seem to like change much, and if there's something we need regarding eurovision it's definetely change.

The ratings for the semi finals were awful!

Semi Final 1 - 161,500 viewers (34th place)
Semi Final 2 - 142,500 viewers (36th place)

I'm not convinced the final will do good either. I remember some years ago a final would definitely be #1 show, but now it doesn't even make the top10. We'll see.

Final results:

579,500 viewers (16th place). Last year it made 11th place.

Flop! Well deserved. I didn't watch the show live on television. I wanted to boycott RTP this year. They really need to get it together. So they don't send a song but they broadcast the show! What were they thinking? Lol!
I was happy about our withdrawal until the explanation came out. I just want to forget that. I'm moving on.

I will only agree with our participation in 2014 if they come up with something different - a new strategy. Otherwise, don't even bother.

yes, in fact that's one of the main rules.
