I love Carla Moreno, Filipa Ruas, and Nuno Norte's songs. However, I feel like Filipa Ruas's song has the best chance to do well in Eurovision. At least in recent years, there's songs like that in the top 10, but Nuno Norte's song is very promising, it could be a dark horse or something. I expected a lot from the Babic/Coelho duo, and Carla Moreno's song just doesn't deliver the same emotion that I got from Senhora do Mar and from Canta Por Mim.

"Quase a Voar" - Henrique Feist - like it, such a nice and pleasant song.
"Chegar à tua Voz" - Wanda Stuart - good ballad, with potential
"O mar, o vento e as estrelas" - Ricardo Sousa - romatic, cute song, like it
(I hope one of these 3 wins):D

Quase a Voar is the type of song that I typically associate with Portugal, it has the strings and the accordion sounding instrument. I love it, it reminds me of songs from Flor-de-Lis's newest album. São Barcos do Lisboa is pretty good too, his voice is so raspy, but soothing at the same time. It just matches the sense of urgence that the song gives out.

I thought I was gonna root for Filipa, but she didn't sound as great as she did on the rehearsals.

Also, I feel like Carla Moreno didn't have much energy on stage. (Maybe it's just the camera being too far away from the stage that I couldn't see details well). Still, her voice is GREAT. I really like it, and the tune is very disco-ey which is cool too. Her intro is great, with her head tilted up, it's so creative. Also, the dancers have some awesome moves ;)

After watching the rehersals I must admit that Carla is the best choice. I thougt and still think, it is a pretty ordinary song, but it's the best we can take to dusseldorf. Her voice is amazing and at least it makes you want to dance and feel happy. I can't stand Wanda Stuart... It's boring and kinda monotonous, her voice doesn't convince me at all. Nuno, Henrique and Rui are very good, but Portugal doesn't need another ballad. Filipa sings badly. So, Carla Moreno to dusseldorf, it may be ordinary, but it's very well sung and it makes you move...

I totally agree with your analysis. Portugal already took a lot of risk last year by not sending Catarina Pereira. I think this year with Carla Moreno, Portugal can make it to the top 10 and maybe even the top 5 since it's really on par with the other songs that have been announced. I'm wishing that it will be Lisbon for 2012 ;)
