I didn't know Laurell Barker but after checking her discography I'm quite concerned about Alicja's chances.
Gurl is a one-compose-wonder so it's gotta be hit or miss, with a huge probability of miss.
She has a great voice anyway so i guess the song won't matter to pull them jury votes in.

I would've preferred "Lucy" but then again that wasn't super strong either, Lake Malawi has better songs. "Empires" is nice but I'm not really into it much. I like her voice but that live performance is a little bit messy. That last note lol. We already have one James Bondesque song and Hooverphonic used those vibes better imo. As screaming ballads go, Arilena is in another league compared to this.

I saw hyped people on youtube and I finally thought "oh, this is something good" but when I listen it... meh. Can't say anything but meh.

Ok, she has great voice for 17 yo but that's it.

Gooosh this part from 01:30 to 02:20 when Cleo and some other unknown ppl to me who are watching area amazed, is extremely difficult segment to sing..give this to 90% of ESC singers and they will fail, I can bet and put my hand in the fire.. No part for proper breathing...Kasia Mos with "Flashlight" had similar segment in 2017 for Poland, jury wasn't fair to Poland that year AT ALL, it was extremely difficult to sing..this one I can say is even more difficult at parts..my God..

After 2 years of non-qualification and being pissed off specially because of Tulia's NQ, personally I think Poland is back to sad 2005-2011 era. I don't feel this song now, maybe studio version will be better ("Superhero" in Szansa na sukces sounded way worse than its final version) but still... as a viewer from Poland I am dissapointed. I was rooting for our previous performances since My Słowianie, I could find something interesting in each song but this time I feel nothing.

Good luck anyway, maybe she will slip past to the finals like Monika Kuszyńska or Kasia Moś.

Szansa na sukces sucks anyway. "Superhero" was only an accidental happenstance.

With the right staging she will make it! So far she is my no1 of the season!

Gave it a 5; she has vocal ability and the lyrics paint a great picture, but both are wasted because of the music, which just never really went anywhere.

I need a better sounding studio version to tell more about chances. It can qualify unless we'll get that stupid 02 spot.
Verses are quite good, I just can't connect to the chorus. And the last notes need to be perfect live. 6pts for now.
