We probably have different standards when it comes to personal favourites. Results and personal taste are different things, but at some point you have to factor in the song as a complete package. That is usually reflected in the results, with the superior packages doing well.
It’s interesting you bring up “Yodel It” given the likely televote appeal that particular song had. Catchy, coherent, entertaining- everything this is not IMO.

Hate the word "catchy" in music.. xpuke xpuke xpuke

And "package" in ESC! xpuke xpuke xpuke

I wasn´t expecting that. I laughed all the way through the song, and as complete ignorant of the Polish language, they sounded Japanese to me. Anyway, it´s a fun song which will be killed by the juries but televoters will love (see Poland 2014). I see this qualifying and probably being in the middle of the scoreboard in the Grand Final. 8 points from me.

Just curious, what particular appeal do you see for the majority of televoters? I can only see the diaspora in Belarus, Czech Republic, France and Spain responding. This is no My Słowianie, unless the video somehow garners 17 million views before May. Their semi final draw also couldn’t be worse this time with no UK, Germany, Italy or Romania (their four largest populations).

I don’t mean to take away from anyone enjoying the song, I simply offered my own thoughts which you directly singled out and I responded to? Just trying to have a conversation. You should really take your own advice and keep the threads on topic.

KEEP ELINA'S NAME OUT OF YOUR DIRTY SISTERS-LOVING FINGERS

got carried away a bit oops. anyway, to actually have constructive discussion here:

not to argue against pali się as i love it, but the impact of diasporas in general is vastly overrated by the fanbase. poland certainly hasn't seen very many qualifications from borderline songs which is the case for countries where the diaspora is a bit more relevant such as serbia and lithuania. it's not something poland can ever count on, so it doesn't change much that uk and ireland are in semi 2.

i think pali się has the obvious appeal of being a harder and rockier song which always gets votes. yes, their semi has hatari getting those votes, but they have the added appeal of slavic chanting. the song is catchy as hell, too. i am not very worried that this can't get televotes, the appeal is there and the staging just needs to be appropriate. however, juries aren't very kind to poland to begin with and this is everything they usually hate. they will probably be tulia's downfall, or at least attempt to be =(

I am not talking about dispora or largest populations, I think it's going to do well no matter which country the votes come from.

One of the most original songs this season. Reminds me of T.A.T.U for one second

I love it! (Though I think it will not qualify, the televotes will murder this song)

I really like this and I guess that makes sense, it reminds me of lots of our and Slovak traditional-ish folk music. I fear its chances in ESC as I agree that it might be a bit flat and it might not grab general audience's attention.

The funniest thing is that I'd heard the song right around Christmas time last year and thought to myself 'well, this cacophony of sounds could definitely find its way on Eurovision'. Lo and behold, here we are. How y'all doin'?

I don't like it.
But at least it's not calculated nor brainless. Very interested how it'll do on ESC. 3 points (not because it's bad, but because it's not for my taste).

I feel like I am one of the only ones finding this absolutely annoying, like small kids screaming into my ear pretending they are singing and so on and you as an older person say: "Oh my gawd, so beautiful!" but your ears are actually bleeding.

Nope Poland!!!This sounds like a JESC song. It's boring and repetitive. It will be an easily NQ in that strong SF1

No, you're not! You put my thoughts into words! Couldn't have said it better.
