This is actually starting to grow on me. It first it sounds like a boring, over-the-top, cheesy ballads I've heard a 1000x before. But Michal really brings the song to life and you feel the emotions behind the song. This is the first time for me at the forum of Poland, but it looks like an apocalyptic wasteland down here

So I got curious about this "Margaret" and looked her up. I have to say I'm dissapointed in the Eurovision fans. Is every Kesha or Rihanna rip-off immediately devine work to you people? Don't you think we've already got enough of those songs as it is? If you're dissaponted you can alway listen to Rihanna, she only made like 50.000 singles in the past few years.
I'm tired from the Rihanna style, hell I even think Rihanna is bored of the Rihanna style, but there are still so many people living in the past. And I find it curious that when I want to find a live version, the sound is shut off, I don't know if anybody can explain this to me?

People say Poland threw away their chances of winning.......probably. But I rather keep my integrity over winning Eurovision with a cheap, trashy summer hit everybody would forget in 2 months. Congratulations :pl: on not selling out. xclap

Is that so..from what I've heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDqkTdNPyhk she did not say A WORD about him. She was talking only about the song (she wouldn't like to sing it cause it sounds bit old-dated) and her favourites (Szroeder and Margaret).

I agree with Edyta that Michal's song sounds a bit "old-dated" (don't you mean old-fashioned?). I preferred this over Margaret's song. The problem with Margaret's song was while the studio version is very good, it would be very hard to pull it off live unless you lip-sync parts of the song. So with her, she could pull it off perfectly or struggle live and the latter happened.

While I was surprised that he won over Edyta and Margaret, all the top three entries could have been good representatives for Poland. It was just everyone was expecting Margaret to win because it is the most contemporary song, although it does remind me of every song Rhianna has made since Umbrella. Also to be honest, the song irritated me a bit.

I heard "Color of Your Life" for the first time, and I can see why this song is chosen. It surprisingly catchy for a ballad and his voice is amazing. It's a song that grows on you. I gave this song 10 points.

Finally, you have to take into account this year is much more varied genre wise and the voting has changed. So you never know, this song might be the biggest surprise of the year. If it does qualify, I see this doing about as well as 2014, possibly better.

He is a boy and I don't think he is gay. He is not a transgender woman. He is just a little bit camp(ish) :)

While he's trying to look more masculine these days than when he was on X Factor Poland, he defiantly pulls straight way better than Deen. I see him more as gender fluid than anything.

I have not heard all the entries yet, but so far, this is not only my favourite one in ESC2016, but probably also my favourite Polish song ever. Cheesy/outdated or not, I can´t stop listening to it. x12s

Was that video where he sings happy birthday to Marlena (who is she?) viral in Poland or something? Because it has a lot of potential for that. Nevertheless, that video only shows that Eurovision singers are just normal people who can do weird things in front of cameras, too!

Nice song, but definitely a copy. I struggle to find which song it reminds me of, but I can't. Any suggestions?

I wouldn´t say it´s necessarily a direct copy, but it reminds me of some other song(s) too. Perhaps I have just weird associations, but for me, the refrain sounds like if someone mixed together the best parts of "Where Do I Begin" by Shirley Bassey and "Oh L´Amour" by Erasure. But that´s not a criticism, it works perfectly for me. xlove

This song is cheesy, outdated, corny...

...and that's why I like it.

Alright, no: it's not high art, and it's far from being the most innovative song in the contest, that's clear, but I thing is nice to hear something mellow and sincere. This year everybody thinks they're too cool for school, and that's OK in some cases, but in most cases just brought us a lot of lifeless, boring songs. At least this is enthusiastic, emotional, the guy does sings very well. It's kind of a Air Supply or Brian Adams song: you know it's cheesy, but can't help yourself but like it.

I'm embracing the cheesiness of this song and lovin' this Polish entry. Also I love how when Michał Szpak sings, he sounds so genuine which is rare in a singer. Top 10 in the final is possible, surely?
