The swimming too was spectacular, watching the men they just look like mermaids in the water, spectacular!!! Really happy with Lochte winning Gold for the United States, great to see Michelle in the audience too ;)!!

I love the Equestrian Dressage ;D

I watched the Womens Fencing and Italy came 1-2-3

Beach Womens Volleyball:
:us: 2 - 0 :au:

I also watched the Archery with Italy gaining an victory over US by 1 point but the best I believe was from South Korea as 1 of the Archers is partially sighted perhaps the same vision distance as me as I might not be able to see the target :S

And the Womens 10m Air Rile when Bogocka was close of getting Gold for Poland =.=

The opening ceremony last night had an average 82% audience share in the UK (roughly 23 million viewers) between 9pm and 12:30am, with a peak of nearly 27 million (getting closer to 90% share) at 10pm.

Pretty impressive for such a long-running show
It was the 13th most watched programme ever in the UK too! :D

Women's volleyball:

:br: 3 - 2 :tr:

It was an unbelievable match. We came back from 8 points down at the 4th set but lost by a shave at the last set. Our performance against the last olympic champion shows that we will not leave this branch without a medal. Go fairies!

The reception for the Irish athletes at the opening ceremony, and the Irish boxers who were fighting today was just incredible.
I knew you would get the best reception after Great Britain :D I said as the parade was starting on Friday, I bet Ireland gets the biggest cheer, and yup I was right :p ... we were cheering for Ireland at the screen just too just to add

This is what the Saturday press had to say about it here btw :)
A+combination+of+the+Olympic+Ceremony+2012+front+pages

Im shocked to hear about the American NBC's coverage of the Ceremony though. During the memorial segment to those killed in the London Terror Attacks, they cut to an interview with Michael Phelps as their coverage is "tailored for a US audience"... :? :(
Also, they thought it was actually Her Majesty jumping out of the helicopter, and they didnt know who Sir Tim Barners-Lee was.
Pure ignorance!!

I am very afraid of a (false flag) attack on the London Olympics, since I am a conspiracy theorist.

There are also youtube-documentaries covering the possible attack event.

Shu-Ching Hsu
3 - :md: Cristina Iovu

Chinshanlo broke the world record with 131 kg! Kazakhstan wins their second gold medal and gets to the 4th place on the medal table :)

Our representative Aylin Daşdelen could also have got a medal here, she was the last European champion but withdrew from the last attempt (129 kg) cause I think she had a problem with her waist. We should have gained some medals till now already but I don't know why we are so unlucky in this tournament :(

Serbs tried really hard in the last set, I thought they would give up when the gap was about 7 points as well as the fact that America was 2-0 ahead, but they made a great comeback, although they lost in the end.

Sweden's biggest hopes on medals goes to Sarah Sjöström who very soon will swim 100m butterfly. Will she succeed?

edit:
Nopp Sarah didn't peak her form and finished 4th, (in tears for now). :(

North Korea’s Om Yun Chol lifted three times his body weight and therefore joined the likes of world record holder Halil Mutlu and Naim Suleymanoglu of Turkey. Asked how a he could lift a weight so big, Om credited the “Great Leader” as he looks after him all the time and gives him the needed strength

Not a surprising outcome for me, as the American team is very strong, and too strong for us atm. The players gave their best, but it wasn't enough. USA is the current Olympic champion and also a #1 favorite for gold in London as well. They are very well prepared and they were temping their form for the Olympic games so it's not surprising. Also, their team is well experienced, while we changed a lot of players, and these young ones cannot compete with experienced "old school" players yet.

In water polo :rs: outclassed the current Olympic champions :hu: with 14:10. This is one of the sports where we are aiming for gold, so this is a promising start :D Our next opponent is :uk: .

Handball players lost against :es: with 26:21. We had everything in our hands but we managed to beat ourselves in the very end. And we lost witn the same margain as the number of attacks we've sold - 5.

Zorana Arunovic made it into the final in air pistol discipline and there achieved the 7th position, which is a great result imo.
