Yes :( It's so bad that this great saga's name reminds people to another thing...

Anyway;

I guess it will be:

I'm going to call Group H as our "group of death" xD

Four real-life countries which all have high-profile music scenes, commonly seen in NSC
(England and USA especially of course, but we can see Korea and Japan are popular and on the rise too :p)

And four NSC nations which have had very good records in the contest :p
(As the "top 8" of the group, Bokia is already known as being capable of producing successful music; Waloria enjoyed considerable success in the past as Qele, with few final-misses; Horehronieland has scored 2 top6s already in 3 participations; And Ametan, expert in its selected country's music, and not to be underestimated)

This is all done without looking at what the actual songs sent are, so it could all be horribly wrong xD I think I'll do pre-song predictions for the other groups too

I was going to compile a list of odds for each country to win the cup at some point too  Which was also going to be based on real-life and NSC countries alone, not the songs :p These group predictions look cool though, go ahead with that

Please do not request to change your songs anymore. The last one was Virgohronie. It's not that I'm mean but it means that I have to re-do the banner again. :)

I'll get started with my pre-song predictions then, posting them over the course of this evening! :D

GROUP A:
ci.png
HALITO
-se 10 REGIONS OF MOBIUS
mg.png
YAPONESIA
ve.png
KUKI-Q

This NSC World Cup contest takes an Africa-heavy start, and we begin with perhaps the most obscure group in terms of real countries, with Sweden being a clear frontrunner in terms of NSC popularity (I believe this is the first time we've ever seen songs from the other three countries in NSC!)

All four NSC countries have seen a variety of entries and results (some with considerably more success than others :p ) Again, 10 Regions of Mobius has probably had the most success on the whole (despite being the newest), though Halito has definitely picked up in recent years despite their rough history, with a victory and several top10s. Kuki-Q is renowned as an NSC underdog, but perhaps this can be disproved in this football format! :D

10 REGIONS OF MOBIUS
HALITO

------------------------
KUKI-Q
YAPONESIA

On paper, 10 Regions of Mobius could be very well set up to gain maximum points in this group, though of course that depends on the song chosen :p The remaining three are fairly open, as African and South American music is hard to come by in NSC, but following recent success, I think the host could grab the runnerup spot, and Venezuela just edges over Madagascar, leaving us in the bottom of the group  But due to its openness, this could be a contender for the "group of life" so who knows![/center:iumk0yxw]

I'll post Group B in about an hour! :D

Btw guys, go buy your vuvuzelas, they can't be missed in this Contest! :D

But they are forbidden in Horehronieland...
But because of NSC World Cup they will be enabled until end of NSC World cup :)

Hah! Thanks for predictions takeru! I don't the will come true though. I didn't send typical Agnes/September Swedish pop song, but rather something a bit different seeing as picked such popular country.

GROUP B:
za.png
COMINO
-ee QUIÉNDQ
cv.png
KINGDOM OF ERÅS
cl.png
NUKULAND

As previously mentioned, yet another Africa group xD However, this time we have seen some South African music in NSC before, and we know that of all the countries in Africa, South Africa quite often presents the most 'western' music scene, and could very well be a contender with popular NSC styles. Estonia would again be the European frontrunner of the group, but little is known about Chile and, in particular, the tiny Cape Verde. These entries should be interesting!

In terms of NSC countries, this is a young group featuring three who debuted (or will debut) after NSC 40, and thus haven't managed to fully show everything they've got just yet. In 12 editions, QuiénDQ has proved a bit of an underdog, but could shine in a smaller group; Kingdom of Erås had their 2nd qualification this edition, but with only 5 editions in their history, it isn't much to go by, as is the case with newcomer Ergenekonland :p Comino on the other hand has a rich history of mixed results, with several near-victories, and as the host is a likely qualifier, in my opinion :D

COMINO
QUIÉNDQ

------------------------
NUKULAND
KINGDOM OF ERÅS

I initially had Estonia leading, but as it's easy to fall into the trap of constantly predicting European victories, I'll go for a close South African victory for this group :p Chile and Cape Verde are both unknowns real-country-wise, and unknowns NSC-wise, both represented by new nations, so they can easily prove this naive prediction wrong [/center:11w2t4rf]

GROUP C:
-kz ZOMBIRA
-at VIOLA PER SEMPRE
ao.png
XORIENTIA
tt.png
CANEDONIA

Now we have our most (and almost only) continentally diverse group, which managed to succeed in drawing both an Asian and an African country :p It's also one of the most open and interesting groups, featuring less prominent countries from each continent. Trinidad&Tobago and Angola are represented for the first time in an NSC event, Kazakhstan has had extremely rare appearances, and Austria is often overlooked from the dominant European countries (though frequently chosen by the Austrians within our NSC community, as the case is here).

The four NSC nations are also incredibly difficult to predict between, as they all have somewhat similar records. Both Xorientia and Zombira are renowned for their collection of silver medals, whilst Canedonia boasts the only gold in the group. Viola per Sempre have also had their fair share of top6s in the contest's history. Whilst Zombira are statistically the top dog here, the choice of song could impact everything. This group is wide open.

[center:3nh22k8k]Pre-song Prediction:
CANEDONIA
VIOLA PER SEMPRE

------------------------
ZOMBIRA
XORIENTIA

Before knowing the songs, this group is truly impossible to predict, and even after the songs are known, I have a feeling this will be one of the more close-faught ones. Zombira's strong record is offset by the more risky country choice, while Canedonia and Viola per Sempre could take the top spots with something more wide-appealing. Unfortunately, my prediction for Xorientia does forecast last places for 3 out of 5 African entries, but let's hope this will be wrong :p However, this group could definitely go in any direction; I might have a clearer view when I hear the songs xD[/center:3nh22k8k]
