NSC Awards 2009 - Discussion Topic

Last year, we had the categories as 2008 only, with a few separate categories that were all-time.
Are we doing the same this year?

I actually forgot about that I think they should all be 2009 only with the exception of one "All-Time Best Song" category.

how about a NSC Music Awards and another show NSC Forum awards ?? it will get messy seeing the huge list of awards people suggested.

I don't see the point in these ones. Most singers and bands have only appeared in NSC once or twice anyway, so is there really much point?

Best R&B Song (rap, hip-hop, r&b)
Best Ballad

Most Epic Entry I saw Sean's description of this category before, and i don't like the sound of this one...It's the whole popularity contest thing all over again.

As i said earlier, i think all of them should be 2009 except one award which is "All-Time Best Song". Tastes change a lot in NSC over time, so i think it would be interesting to find everyone's opinions.

Yep, i think we should. I'm just trying to cut down on the number of categories, because "Best Female Singer" is pretty much the same as "Best Song by a Female Singer" imo (and same for the other two).

I would reclassify to Uptempo, midtempo and slow songs

I would potentially add the following categories:
Best crossover song (for the songs which manage to mix several different musical genres well into 1)
Biggest grower (It is kinda related to the most underrated thingie, but they have some differences)
