I find the best songs from certain genres very dull. :| Guess, it's only me, though. We could actually do the following. We may decide on songs from all these different genres and they'll compete for the ultimate best one.

Well, on the discussions I have been about NSC awards, then I've almost against this "person awards"-thingy, but people always insists in having them.
If I would decide the awards completly (which I'm not, but I'm giving you suggestions
) it is to have the song and singer awards and thats it. Let's say...at most 15 awards!!I would love to see these genre awards, best rock, pop, ballad and so on.. and on top of that, Best song 2009! It makes more songs noticeble!
Both when I (with help from Giggshood) hosted in 2007 and Dan in 2008, we had a lot of awards and that made much work for us. Maybe this time, the awards can be more like a show then just giving alot of awards for nothing...just like a Oscars of NSC!

I still think there should be a best ethnic song award, cause we have had a lot of those songs in NSC.
Best NSC Player (could split to male and female I guess)
Best Host
Best Recapper
Best Graphic Maker
And about these four that they are just about the people. I think they're useless

The others are pretty pointless. Also, I think there should be a Best Electronic Song category, since this is quite a big one these days. If we're going to have a "Best NSC Player", i think it should be given a different name, since "Best NSC Player" means nothing at all really
I think "NSC Personality of the Year" would be more suitable.

Why not? The best solution anyone has been able to come up with! It's great to be more inclusive of all different kinds of awards.

Therefore "Best electronic song" should include both dance, trance, dup-step, D'n'B, psychedelic, dup-step, electronica etc. Not by all means a song which is "danceable".

To be honest i have kinda mixed feelings about the song categories as very often the good songs could easily fit into 4-5 categories. For example Buiikikaesu for me would go into rock, rap, pop, dance and non english categories. And that is the case with many songs.
