Who is "bitching" about the winner? Last edition there were much worse opinions on the winner than this time and I didn't see anyone accusing anyone of "bitching" about the winner. Cheer up, people have different opinions, that's all

IMO a good and sweet song, it just missed my top 10, but I ranked it high and I'm happy it won, I must say.

Congrats to Jochen! Probably the most deserved win in NSC history. Even tho I only gave it 1 point, I had a strong feeling it would win, because it really is a good song, and it needed to be in my top 10. Especially because of the lyrics. It's obviously the wrong genre for me tho, which is why it didn't end higher in my ranking, but I'm still really happy to see it win. So once again, congrats!

I'm very happy INK avoided the last place, not just because I love the song, but also because I picked their entry this edition, after a secret NF. I knew it wouldn't be a favorite among everyone here, but I did hope that it would get a few more points than that. Still, if Sven is happy, then I'm happy.

All the talking about the song being such a favorite got a bit to my head, and I was eventually hoping to at least prequalify, and maybe compete for the win. Even tho the last WT entry, 2 of the 3 Tarja entries, and 3 of the last 4 Nightwish entries all failed to qualify. So as I said early in the edition, I'd be happy just to qualify. Which I did. I still had hopes early in the results show, but when I went thru the results, and saw that we where around 16th at one point, I didn't think there was hope anymore. So ending 4th is amazing. I'm prequalified again! Which means I'll be in the 5th final in a row! This is a personal record I'll never come close to again, so to everyone who's voted for Balearica Island since NSC 100: Thank you, you're all awesome! Now to figure out what to send to Ugaly...

Don't really know why people complain. Claiming the song won only because it was written by an NSC'er is pure stupidity. As part of an an NSC-forum it shouldn't be difficult to see that this was a that most people could relate to in some way or another and despite being a tribute to mostly Ugaly, it had an anthemic vibe that sorta captured the spirit of NSC. Weird as it may sound I think everyone saw a bit of themselves in Ugaly..
