The WL voting is now closed! Belvist, Eureka and Naniland failed to vote.

I would point out that this edition is breaking the official NSC rules

4. An edition of the Nation Song Contest takes place over three following events, each lasting a minimum of one week

The final is planned to last 5,5 days while the semis were also slightly under a week. While the semis time was techincally breaking the rules, it was a minor break. However 5,5 day finals is not acceptable. While I will vote by the deadline, anyone who sends his/her votes after the deadline, but before exactly a week passing from the first post should be allowed to vote and the results show shouldn't be held before a week passing if there is even 1 non voter.

While it's true that nobody else noticed until now, what Heiki says is undeniably correct! :geek:
As soon as someone complains, I'm afraid you'll have to extend the deadline so we get a full week's worth, particularly if you still have some outstanding voters at noon tomorrow.
Hope that doesn't cause you too many problems, Ranko

It's 5.5 days, not 6.5... the topic opened 19/01 @ 22h CET... which means five full days of voting + 14 hours...

so are we going to delay the results show? :(

Just the facts:
The one week-rule has been very ambiguous and freely bent in the past. There has never been any enforcement of having the voting period last a minimum of 168 hours (which probably hasn't even been the case a majority of times). The only actually practiced constant is having the voting period cover at least parts of 7 different calendar days in unbroken succession, which this edition actually did oblige to before the extension.

Basically, rule violation or not is up for discussion. However, now that the deadline has been extended, it's not really a viable option to take it back.

Which means the extension can be disregarded I hope... Change it back Akka haha

I should know better than to wait so long to make edits. So just to make sure the recent addition doesn't get lost:

If everyone still votes to the original deadline, Ranko can still follow his original plans :D
The only thing is that it's important for everyone to be comfortable with finding a slot during the whole week in which they'll be able to vote. As long as the deadline is too short, and someone complains, then there's clearly some discomfort with following a shorter deadline, and you'll have to stick to the rules.

Nevertheless, I fully intend on voting before midday ;) It may well be that everyone else still manages to too! :D

NSC 62 lasted for a bit more than 21 days, ending in the middle of week and i liked that NSC 63 was fixing it smoothly back to weekend deadlines. I find the contest following full week rythm most comfortable, cause we all follow that rythm in our every day lifes.

And well... i was looking forward to the results show today, like some others...
