Kyle did a much better job than Nora in basically every front, the song is something that Cyprus would have sent to eurovision, but it is pretty good and the choreo was great, the staging screams Chapell Rowan, so if he wins I would consider changing it to avoid comparisons, but great job overall

Song 6: Kyle Alessandro - "Lighter"
The opening verse is sung in a bouncy manner, and a soft beat can be heard. During the chorus, there is quite a powerful beat, which could possibly overpower the singer’s voice. The second verse has a powerful beat to it. This includes an instrumental break, which includes some eastern style elements. After that, the section starting “Silence fills the room” is sung quite softly, which provides a break from the livelier bits, before a final instance of the chorus. Tonight’s performance was enhanced by orange clouds and an orange landscape, with simulated flames in the distance, on the background screen, and flames around the edge of the stage from about midway though. During the instrumental break, there was more use of fire, and the song ended with a final burst of flames. Altogether another powerful song, I’m not sure what style this is, but anyway, this is the favourite to win at the time of posting this.

The Game would be great if it wasn't a pale imitation of the same country's entry from literally just 2 years ago... she has an incredible voice though, hopefully she doesn't win and comes back with something different

"The Game" was great, great energy from the singer and great staging, but it was very "Queen of Kings" coded, I don't speak norwegian but I think they said she was one of the composers of "Queen of Kings"?

Edit: I checked and no, Nataleen is not in the credits of "Queen of Kings"

Edit2: "The Game" and "Queen of Kings" does share 2 composers Henning Olerud and Stanley Ferdinandez

Song 7: Nataleen - "The Game"
The first verse is sung without a beat. The first instance of the pre-chorus has a soft beat, and is sung rapidly. I like the 10 second countdown on the pre-chorus, it’s the perfect lead-in to the chorus. The chorus has a powerful beat, I like the way in which its lines are sung. The second verse is sung in a similar manner to the first, but has a beat. The section starting “They gonna know about it” must be the bridge, and is sung in a different manner to earlier parts. During the final instance of the chorus, the last two lines are sung differently to earlier instances; this provides the perfect end to the song. Altogether another lively song, with a very catchy chorus. I liked the way it was staged tonight, including shrinking red outline rectangles on the background screen, and impressive flame effects at times. This could do well tonight.

"Hot as Hell in Paradise" - not bad, i hear a tinge of Gaga in the verses, then the chorus hits and transports me to the early 2010s Melodifestivalen, overall it's decent but i wouldn't want to see it represent Norway in May

Song 8: Ladybug - "Hot as Hell in Paradise"
Well, this is an unusual sounding song, the introduction is what I think one would hear sung in a church service, and some of the lyrics include elements with religious links, e.g. holy ghost in the first verse and Lady Magdalena in the pre-chorus. The chorus catchy and powerful, and I like the musical composition within it. The second verse has a beat to it. Altogether another memorable song, with a catchy chorus. For tonight’s performance, I’m mystified as to why the backing group were hanging upside-down in hoops until the second instance of the pre-chorus. The background screen images, which included clouds, enhanced this performance.

"Joyful" - it's your usual retro Melo/MGP schlager but this it's the iconic Bobbysocks who are back after 40 years; as usual when it comes to former winners, they return with a weaker entry. Cute moment nonetheless xheart

Switching to Lituania, I liked LLL a lot, but Norway has some very solid options.
Also, as always, congratulations to NRK for a great show.
