Is there any info concerning performances revamps? I mean something like Elsie did last year, among the others.

I am very underwhelmed by Norway this year. My expectations were not sky-high but nearly all songs featured in this preselection are generic, soulless pop songs with nothing that separates one from another for the most part, I have a hard time telling even when one starts and another finishes. It's a sea of beige, unremarkable clichédness. The quality is lower than last year.

I'd say Queen of Kings somewhat stands out at least from the bunch of finalists.

Gave the songs a listen, my personal ranking:

01: Eline Thorp - Not Meant To Be
02: Elsie Bay - Love You In A Dream
03: Swing'it - Prohibition
04: Jone- Ekko Inni Meg
05: Alessandra Mele - Queen of Kings
06: Skrellex - Love Again
07: Umami Tsunami - Geronimo
08: Atle Petterson - Masterpiece
09: Ulrikke Brandstorp - Honestly

Ulrikke's song reminded me so much of another Norway NF song from a few years back that I also didn't like called "Attention", turns out she performed that song as well, she basically said let's try to send the same song again. :ROFLMAO:

Jone is the best and by a large margin. Alessandra's viking melody is cute, but aging worse than Jone. Those diva balladries hopefully fail.

I'm sad Keiino didn't participate with Nights of Thunder.

There's a lovely symbiosis in the fact that Alessandra opened this year's contest and will close it on Saturday night xlove

It seems from the popular reactions online that it's between her and Ulrikke for the win, but yeah - I expect a curveball cos it's  - who has the biggest support in the largest regions would be a key question, since it often comes down to that...

Well today, the day before the final, the national broadcaster and news outlet NRK put up an article for Alessandra - Queen of Kings about how it's the favorite on Spotify all over the world, how charming and talented she is, and how politically correct the song is, empowering women, which then fits since Alessandra i bi etc. You couldn't do a more obvious endorsement even if you tried, and like I said before, people follow the lead and consensus so I'm pretty sure that will do it. We have a winner.

Agree 100% except for when you say "this year."

Still, put me down for Alessandra or none-of-the-above. It's not usually my type of thing but she gave a good performance and that's enough to win me round.

Honestly feels like it was made in a Eurovision lab
"Lab" makes it sound almost interesting. Cloning plant would be more appropriate.

Norway needs to focus on the Juries after 4 Juryflops in a Row, although I thnk she could potentially do better in the TV than Alessandra as well.

I just hope we dont get a Randomwinner.

tbh I think Atle is going to win. Or Ulrikke. Alessandra won't be first in the televote and far from the top 3 with the juries, so..

1 day before the final (2 days for this chart).
Welp...

+ Alessandra is the only MGP performer charting in Sweden (#129).
She's #30 in Finland, Jone is #198.

I saw some say they think this is a weak NF. Music taste will always differ and is subjective but personally I think it is a very strong NF. There are 4 songs I would be happy to represent Norway in ESC in May: Alessandra, Ulrikke, Atle and Elsie and it is seldom I have 4 favourites in our NF.

My top favourite is Alessandra, I hope she wins (great vocalist and catchy song with Nordic vibes), but my guess is that Ulrikke will win (more jury votes) in the end. One never knows though in MGP, as someone also mentioned there is often regional voting in Norway (people voting for 'their' local artist) and there could be a surprise this year too.

Good luck all in MGP tonight, looking forward to the final! xup
