Oh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Not sure I told you, but I really like your teeth
That hairy coat of yours with nothing underneath
Not sure you have a name, so I will call you Keith
Oh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
See where you're going, but I don’t know where you've been
Is that saliva or blood drippin' off your chin?
If you don’t like the name Keith I'ma call you Jim
Oh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
Give that wolf (Banana)

Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Banana

I like the scent of every meal on your breath
That hunger in you, I'm in danger now, I guess
Let's go to grandma's, you say grandma tastes the best
Oh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
(I want your grandma, yum, yum)
And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
Give that wolf
Someone give that wolf a banana

Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Someone give that wolf a banana
Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Someone give that wolf a banana

Ba-na-na
Ba-na-na-na-na
Ba-na-na
Ba-na-na-na-na

And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
(I want your grandma, yum, yum)
Someone give that wolf a banana
And before that wolf eats my grandma
Give that wolf a banana
Give that wolf
Give that wo-o-olf

Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Someone give that wolf a banana
Yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum-yum-yum
Someone give that wolf a banana

That hairy coat of yours with nothing underneath
Not sure you have a name, so I will call you Keith

So a final so far consistent of: 7 ballads, which one is pretty good (Elise Bay), but looks superboring on stage. One swingpop-song that feels pretty hopeless. And two men wearing yellow wolf-like costumes, dancing to an uptempo song where you should give bananas to wolves.

Even with Trollfest bringing some of the fun in the final goes through, I am pretty sure that Ylv....I mean Subwolfer is going to crush this final and go to Turin. And well, I don't mind it too much I guess. But don't expect too much Norway, I am not 100% sure that people will fall for it. xthink

lol TrollfesT are in a 1-vs-1 system with a fully scandi audience voting. They'll just be killed off again. I think Mari has this.

also did schlagerman just forget that Hammer of Thor is not a ballad, or?

It's a shit nf

It's a fabulous NF. Love it! Very high level.

You should check out what the bookmakers say and then take a critical look at your own views: Do you have opinions that are way out of line with what is working and what is not working in a Eurovision context?

You'll probably find out that you have just that. ;)

The bookmakers are certain Norway will do well at Eurovision.

Just looked up who made it to the second "Last Chance" round and wow okay. Not happy with that
Norway, stop sabotaging yourself!

The odds don't really mean much right now, though.

Whaat? How did neither Elina nor Mira make it? I'm quite disappointed by this, not gonna lie, but luckily this NF is packed with good songs so at least it will make it easier for me to pick my favourite of the final show

I hope that - despite the current odds - "Fly" will not make it through. If both "Hammer Of Thor" and "Fly" are in the final, they will undoubtedly get support from many people who like the ethnic element in the songs which will ultimately mean that the votes will get split between them. Since I'm hoping for a good result for "Hammer Of Thor", I'm not happy with that scenario.

Yes! Happy that Kim got through to the Second Change qualifiers! Hopefully, he will get the final spot.
If Norway didn't pick Subwoofler, then there is nothing left for me to get behind for Norway.

You'll probably find out that you have just that. ;)

Firstly, I'm usually pretty accurate with my predictions - i'm bad at predicting WINNERS, but I can usually estimate the range of where an entry might place before rehearsals start.

Secondly taste isn't the same as predictions. I don't care about "Brividi" but I also think it's the entry to beat at the time, due to a current lack of options. (it's the ONLY entry revealed so far I can imagine placing top 10, depending on Albania's revamp)

Thirdly, lollll the bookmakers. Bookmaker odds are just what people bet money on, nothing more. Most people bet on their OWN country, or on countries that usually do well in Eurovision. In the first case, you can just ignore the odds because those people can't vote for themselves. In the second case, it's likely Sweden or Russia will do well in Eurovision but with 41 countries into the mix there's no guarantee they'll WIN.

Odds usually put the winner high but not always and whatever is put first does NOT always win. Amir was first, and placed 6th. Destiny was first and placed 7th. Francesco was first and placed 6th. Rybak? First in the odds, won the semi, fucking FIFTEENTH PLACE in the final. Jessica Mauboy? Second in the odds, last in the televote. Duncan was first in the oddsand yes he won but he was slated to be a blow out winner - his actual result? 2nd/3rd in the separate voting brackets that turned into a combined first place. A worse result than what the odds projected.

Following the Bookmakers blindly is as a basis for your analysis is STUPID, but that should speak for itself.

PS: "high level", sure if you're used to Danish MGP which is a consistently terrible nf with equally bad results most of the time. Compared to the NFs in this year (and god this is NOT a good NF season so far), MGP are near the bottom in terms of quality. Bland anonymous pop and cringe novelty does not make for a good basis for Eurovision.

I think you need to analyse once again on how the bookmakers earn their money. They do it by using experts and getting as close to the future result as possible. Nothing less, nothing more. They don't mix their personal taste into it as you obviously do.

All Nordic countries have had really good results in recent years. Denmark, for instance, were on their way to qualifying for the final for the fourth time in a row in 2020 when the show was cancelled. That's pretty good. Sweden and Norway, of course, have done well, too. Again - that's what the results say. What your personal taste tells you, is something different.

Winning songs as of now that I'm sure wouldn't make it to the Top 5 in the MGP:

I'm not totally sure about Italy. Mahmood is an established Eurovision name - that's probably giving him a lot of support.
