What can I say?
I can't make her stay
When I know that she's so far above
How could she ever love someone like me
She's out of reach

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

She's so far out of this world
No way I could ever be with her
'Cause I know heaven's your home
That's where angels belong
And it wouldn't be fair
If I keep you down here

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able
And I need you to know
That it's okay to let me go
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Yeah I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And I'm still not sure
What you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able, so
Just let me go (I'm a, I'm a fallen angel)
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

Emmy - VERY good! Sassy, stands out, the ESC fandom will probably go wild for it
Ole Hartz - the complete opposite, very traditional, but I love the folk vibes, the norwegian language and the beat. Like it A LOT! There is a slight resemblance in the chorus with Bada Nakna.
Big Daddy Karsten: Another great song. Very danceable, fun, good chorus. Also like the rap-verses. Really good!
Dinaye - the weakest song out of this semi. I have the feeling I have heard this a trillion times already. She's a very good singer though. But I wouldn't miss it in the final.

"Vi er Norge" - A very nice traditional kinda song. I can see this winning if the right target audience votes hard for it.
"Smile" - Fun and definitely a stand-out. Big Daddy Karsten should bring the staging and this semi is his.
"Own Yourself" - cliche lines after cliche lines after cliche lines. The lyrics are so basic, it makes you like the song somehow.
"Witch Woods" - my personal fave before I heard Smile. She has to go all in with the witchy theme for the staging. Very Melanie Martinez.

Overall, Pang would've beat 80% of these songs so far. Justice for Pang.

I think Ole Hartz' folk song is much, much better than Stavangerkameratene's pre-qualified entry. I'm not 100% on Vi er Norge but gosh, it kicks the hay stuffing out of Barndomsgater melodically. So much more interesting.

Big Daddy Karsten is my favourite here. Getting a bit of CupcakKe LGBT vibes with those verses. Overall Smile is bouncy and positive. Daddy's soft lisp during the chorus is super cute too. Just something charming about it all. Hope he's as fun live as Anis Don Demina.

Other two? Eh, not feeling them. Witch Woods isn't my thing and irritates me already. Own Yourself couldn't be more plain. This type of light funk pop is already tired at this point, but here it's like they've vacuum packed Bruno Mars and sucked away any flavour that might have been left. It was a challenging three minutes.

1. Big Daddy Karsten - Smile
2. Ole Hartz - Vi er Norge
3. EMMY - Witch Woods
4. Dinaye – Own Yourself

I like Smile the most, Ole and EMMY are okay, but Own yourself is just bad, a song we haerd a lot before!

I am stunned about her willingness to objectify herself on stage and sell out for the gay vote. I think female singers in Eurovision are often acting unapologetically slutty because they feel safe to do so and the male audience are not desiring them, but desiring to be them.

The song itself is the very definition of by the book

I’m sorry but this opinion is straight out of 1989 and frankly toxic . This is about empowerment and I think using terms like slutty, especially for women are extremely judgemental and sexist.

Tumblr, mostly.
lmfao, Smile. This NF is gayer than when it had 'I Am Gay' in it.

Vi er Norge to the final then! Witch Woods started out alright but got weird and annoying. Dinaye is too basic and Smile is just a big no for me melodically.

1. Ole Hartz - Vi er Norge (Very traditional, reminded me of the medieval times though and vikings and sort. And I don't know why, but it also remind of something the Eastern European countries will send though)

2. EMMY - Witch Woods (I actually like the witch theme in the song. She sounds like Cher Lloyd to me and I am wondering if she is able to pull off the song 'live'. But then it's a little too bubblegum pop and I can actually see this being in Junior Eurovision though)

3. Dinaye – Own Yourself (reminds me of the 2000s Disney flicks' theme song and I hear a little Belgium 2016)

4. Big Daddy Karsten - Smile (the chorus is fine, but the rap verses are just a plain no for me)

I fully agree with everything you said. That's also my opinion on the released songs so far.

Big Daddy Karsten - "Smile" okaaaaay, I love this cheesy trashy rap! :p
It is so bright, light, trashy.. xlove xheart
I hope live will be great and colorful, I want this one in the final.. :D

Ole Hartz - "Vi er Norge" - this is so Norwegian, I think I love this too..
For now I prefer Big Daddy Kasten, but if he goes way too trashy (LOL), I want this one in the final..
