I already see myself giving Raylee points in YOUrovision 2021... I still prefer KEiiNO because I like Monument better as a song, but my godness, that staging! 
Anyway, if Tix's wings make it from a NF that includes Monument and Hero, I'll consider Norway officially cancelled and null points worthy.

but Flashdance is one of my favorite movies, so of course miss Rayleee won some points from me. Still not enough to beat Keiino in my faves, but certainly a good attempt - and yes, it's waaaay better than wild. Gimmee that generic mainstream 80s retropop synths
(personally love the comparison with Gaga here, because what she did recently was 90s house instead of 80s retro synthpop but go off I guess)

I just listened to "Hero". Well, if you search for the word "generic" in a dictionary probably this song should come as an example.

I don't hate it. Maybe I didn't like it that much back in 2016... So what? It did well with the televoters and I appreciate that but it doesn't fit into my personal tase of music. The beat is too cheap in my opinion.
I partly agree with you here. I could never feel myself home there because the people were too stiff-minded in my opinion (and they lack of humor sense). But as far as what the city atmosphere was concerned, I really loved it, but maybe I just felt way because I have lived 17 yrs in Japan before where everything was even more stiff and correct. But ... offtopic.
Raylee's performance was okay, but rather because the water moment came unexpectedly, otherwise her song is fine, but not a burner. I still support Keino - they have the best song and the best performance. I like TIX'song, but still not his outfit. I can't cotton up to it yet.

Wow, that Raylee's performance is pretty good. They just need to finetune the camera angles, change the outfit to something less tacky and work on her vocals, she is pretty much ready to go.
Daniel Owen's performance is pretty good too. The song is ok - very contemporary and current. But kudos to him to keep up with a routine and still sing with little difficulties.

I am stunned about her willingness to objectify herself on stage and sell out for the gay vote. I think female singers in Eurovision are often acting unapologetically slutty because they feel safe to do so and the male audience are not desiring them, but desiring to be them.
The song itself is the very definition of by the book
