What can I say?
I can't make her stay
When I know that she's so far above
How could she ever love someone like me
She's out of reach

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

She's so far out of this world
No way I could ever be with her
'Cause I know heaven's your home
That's where angels belong
And it wouldn't be fair
If I keep you down here

Here in the dark inside the hole in my heart
I'm fighting all of my demons tryna tear me apart
And I'm still not sure what you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able
And I need you to know
That it's okay to let me go
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Yeah I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
And I'm still not sure
What you ever saw in me

No, I'm a, I'm a fallen angel
Tryna fly, but I'm not able, so
Just let me go (I'm a, I'm a fallen angel)
'Cause no matter where my heart is
There's no way I'll ever
Reach up to heaven
To you

After about 100 posts about how Tix wouldn't stand a chance at qualifying from this semi, I'm wondering how MalagaToledo is feeling now. :D
I don't wanna know. I'm glad Tix is in the grand final.

We, the Portuguese, do. That's important for the way the event is perceived in our country and consequently, our future in it. If we send real or unreal music, whatever that may be, is a matter of opinion. I for one tend to think we tend to send rather poor pieces. If the general opinion of the contest is improved maybe, but just maybe, our contributions should be better. Tix is certainly not helping that cause.
Portuguese here. Local newspapers who even bother to write about Eurovision have only one mission: to trash the contest. They start locally (Mamba had a hard time with them this year) and off they go. They never have anything good to say. I wouldn't rely on their opinion for credibility sake.

Yes, I'm quite aware of that. They're awful. They don't even pretend to know anything about it usually. Most people eat up what they say though. Point is, that bloody ridiculous dead winged scarecrow was there asking to be picked, wasn't it? And no song worth listening to, just saying.

I have Tix in my heart from the get go. Was thrilled that he qualified 😁

I'm sure that he got in top10 with the juries, but I'm kinda suspicious about televote.. I got a feeling he didn't do that well as I thought he would (I predicted 4th/5th with televote):unsure:

Can anyone explain the TIX Efendi thing to me? :ROFLMAO: Where did they meet? Which video did I miss? Or does he just like her without further backstory...

Btw how funny is it that the official Eurovision channel made a video about this!

One of the best performances from semi 1 and a deserved qualification. I think he got plenty of points from both the juries and the televoting. He might surprise everyone with his placement on Saturday.

If you believe that this is a joke act, then you didn't understand the meaning of his song.
a. What`s a joke about it? Sure there is some irony in there but ... a joke entry? Uhm no.
b. Albina screeching those "Oh noooooos" was painful to listen to.
He was wearing an angel costume & there were actual demons doing weird moves???
The whole thing looked like a Halloween party or a parody of Fallen Angel which has dark lyrics (like Bulgaria)

"There are demons in the lyrics. Let's put some demons on the stage then!"

They didn't have to visualize everything the lyrics say.

Oh, I wish I had that brother. My brother was my biggest bully. :\
I’m sorry to hear that, but you are not alone. I know many people who have problems with their siblings.
I’m blessed with sister, and we are really close since we grew up.

I think it all began with Andreas having a crush on Efendi, and then I think they maybe started flirting but probably decided to continue for PR.

Why not visualizing them? I mean look at the other performances. Many artists came up with quite generic stagings. All they can think of is to put dancers on stage so it looks vital and moving? Tix has a performance that is memorable. He doesn't need dancers or pyros or any kind of colors. He wants express his inner demons by personalizing them, what's wrong with that? When knowing Tix's background, the staging actually is quite perfect, I would say.

Efendi & TIX - wonderful romance!
I watched some videos about that - some messages exchanges, then on the carpet when someone asked her about TIX and she replied something like "ask him" 😊
And that epic video of TIX singing MA MA MA MATA HARI 😍 in the middle of some conversation.... he bought her some flowers, the gift and wrote something for here as well...great great great 😍

You do realize that it's a promo stunt though by both camps and that Efendi can barely communicate with the guy due to her lack of English? xshrug

Romania had a perfect choreo which was an accurate visual representation of the lyrics.
Bulgaria's (not a fan of the song at all but) staging fits the dark lyrics very well.

When TIX is on stage, all I can see a guy in an OTT angel costume wearing a headband and sunglasses & some other guys in demon costumes bending and running.
It's not dark or powerful or trying-to-give-hope etc... just a halloween party xcookie

Therefore, it looks like a joke entry. I'm sure most people voted for Norway for fun.

You may be loving it, that's fine. It's all about taste.
