So why? Why should people care.. why should people care about Ulrikke?

I have no answer to this.

Just your typical overly dramatic ballad we've already heard multiple times. No reason here for me to listen to this again till May.

Mid and 4 pts.

As with last year, it felt like the voting certainly made things a lot closer and more exciting than for what should’ve otherwise been an obvious choice. Thank god for Øst Norge! Would’ve been interesting to see how different the results would’ve been had there not been that extremely unfortunate technical incident. I’m optimistic for Ulrikke but I fear it will be too unmemorable and too musically formulaic to be considered a contender.

The televote scandal is unforgivable. We're talking about Norway, not Moldova or Belarus. I'll make myself believe Didrik&Emil actually made it to top 4 but were excluded cuz of the system breakdown.

On the other hand, Attention really has Morland vibes at some parts and I'm living for it. Her performance today was much better than the one in the semifinal. The lyrics are very emotional and coming from her pure heart, I wish I could relate to the described situation in the song so I could immerse in the vibe of the song and enjoy it even more than I am already.

P.s. Yes, it sounds like Lucie Jones a bit, but Ulrikke wore it better, and way better.

Well, technologies do break everywhere... Not that it would make it any less scandalous, as it's really not that costly to make sure your server doesn't crash, compared to all the other expenses the broadcaster had to have with this competition.
I am not sure Ulrikke would have won had there been Rein and Didrik & Emil instead of Kristin and Liza in the final 4 with her and Raylee... But it is still very probable, so, nevermind :)

So happy Kristin got to the top 2. Never expected it. Ulrikke will gibe Norway another top 10. Despite the semis having a lot of weak songs the final was pretty good although no clue how Liza made the top 4.

That's a decent entry. I'd hoped for somebody else and there were more than one option I would have preferred. Good luck, Norway.

We never know, my friend. If Raylee was somehow not squeezed into the top 4 by the backup juries, we would literally crucify them and claim so confidently that she would have won the televote for sure had there been no crash on the server, however we found out today that the televoters actually preferred Kristin Husoy over both Raylee and Liza, and even almost won the whole thing. We can only make assumptions, but sometimes they can be very misleading, like the delusional me who was so sure that we would get Raylee-Ulrikke duel tonight that I did not even consider any other possibility.

I'm listening to all the songs tonight. I am impartial, I reevaluated the Lithuanian song. Only the singing test of the Danish singer gave "Attention" a way to exist. I should add that he did not impress me at all.

Tbh, I'm disgusted by the "Top 4". Ridiculous choices coming from a jury and it's proof enough that juries should be abolished from all national finals. They just kill songs which are exciting, innovative and different (or having ethno elements).

Ukrikke is the right winner after that great performance but how she won is just disappointing.

The song itself isn't my cup of tea even though I know thst it's a quality entry

:5: from me.

oh my god i can't believe it was so close against KRISTIN OF ALL PEOPLE (her full name) lmao. who even thought? at least she slayed raylee. that made her almost win almost worth it. ALMOST.

but yeah, 12 points and all of my gold. ulrikke brandstorp owns this gay's heart and soul, and it's fine. nobody from any NF can dethrone her, so only internals can stop her from being my #1 of the year. she is perfect to me, the right song for the right moment in my life. thank you so much for winning, ulrikke.

Hunties place your bets on Ulrikke failing in semi because it is happening.
I who have loved the studio version was so confused when the first live performance aired. She has no charisma, can't project the emotion (unless they tell her she won Eurovision, because triggers work with her) and it feels flat when performed.
The staging is poor, she needs to change that (I mean pretty much all but Kristin's and Rein's were terrible). NRK get yourself together.
5 points with little place to grow and I've heard the song at least 50 times by now.

I've seen more emotion from a used a tissue. It's your bog standard eurovision ballad, nothing extraordinary and not awful, but she is really stiff and flat. The drama points are well, kinda dramatic and give it something but the rest does nods along. Considering the choices Norway had to pick from they probably did go for one of the better ones, which says something but it's really not something they should be excited about. To go from Spirit in the Sky, to this NF and winner... Well the only worse comparison I can think of is UK 2009 to UK 2010. I'm not really that interested in listening again, but i'll be generous with a 6 because it doesn't annoy me and isn't a complete right off. They need to fix the staging ASAP and tell her find some emotion and take some cod liver oil for them joints because she's like a robot.

It wasn't a professional jury like at Eurovision though. It was a demoscopic backup jury meant to simulate the televoting result.

I thought it was a very good show. With entertaining segments between the songs. Only one or two of the songs were uninteresting to me. I might have preferred One Last Time in the final instead of the gay song, but the combination of a big, motionless Rein Alexander and a very Eurovision-ish chorus - no, I was never a real fan.

Kristin's song was one of those "genre songs" with a nice mood in it, but melodically it was dull, and I would have preferred "Wild" in the Gullduell. Really surprising to me that Kristin almost won in the battle with Ulrikke at the end.

Many see "Attention" as the best ESC winner so far in 2020, and I agree. And the bookmakers like it too. I love the song, I'm impressed by her voice, and I think she looks good on stage.

What a depressing night. Since Albania came out, I only continue hating the new songs. Terrible Eurovision in the making.
