Gorgeous lyrics, and a stunning performance. I'm loving Norway again this year. Raylee and Ulrikke in the superfinal would've been my ideal, but I'm just delighted that Ulrikke came out on top in the end - Kristin's song wasn't as special and she was also very shaky vocally.

Norway, you get my first 12 of this season xyaay xlove xup xheya

GOOSH Norway is so cliche…when I hear this intro I really get so nervous how cliche it is..and her vocals are so boring to me..I dislike this orchestration so much..
3/10, Thankfully Spain is here so this is next to last for me for now.. :(

3 in the poll

Norway Melodi Grand Prix Final 2020 is now over. The final two were Kristin Husøy - "Pray for Me" and Ulrikke Brandstorp - "Attention". Out of those two, I wanted Ulrikke Brandstorp - "Attention" to win. Whilst the results of the final two were announced, it looked as though Kristin Husøy would win against my wishes, but thankfully when the last pair of results was announced, Ulrikke Brandstorp took the lead, and won, thank goodness! I'm glad Ulrikke Brandstorp won, because I think "Attention" was a much better and stronger song than "Pray for Me".

So Ulrikke Brandstorp - "Attention" won Norway Melodi Grand Prix Final 2020, and will now therefore represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in May. Norway will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on 12 May 2020. Sadly I won't be able to vote for Norway's entry that night as the UK votes in the second semi-final two days later. Will Ulrikke Brandstorp qualify for the ESC 2020 Grand Final? Time will tell. Good luck to Norway in Rotterdam in May.

Five weeks of pointless heats to hand the win over to one of the five automatic qualifiers. Attention is one of those songs built just for the vocalist to deliver the big notes that make some of us go "wow". The melody floats around in the middle of nowhere until Ulrikke starts belting, and I don't think I particularly care when she sets off. The song has a flimsy structure.

4 points. Inoffensive but lacking flavour of any kind.

Tone's song was nothing - I could not even recall a single part of the melody. After one listen, Ulrikke's song was lodged in my brain and sweetly looping. Best ESC ballad since Sanna Nielsen with Undo...

Norwegians have been shockingly cheap, lazy, random and messy regarding their NF this year.

Can't say I'm shocked the producers' fave won.

As a song, it starts out ok, one would think it's going somewhere, but ultimately it doesn't. It's neither particularly interesting, nor particularly emotional. But it's not bad either, worse choices could have been made.

I don't really know how to rate this as of now, it's bland and I want to dislike it, but then part of me low-key moderately enjoys it. And I fear it might grow on me. Odd.

I will forget this whole mess and pretend this was an internal selection. Norway can do so much better than this though. They'd better step up next year.

Tumblr, mostly.
The thrilller near the end make me realize I not only wanted Ulrikke to win, but that I also would've been very sad if she had lost. I also voted for her six times, what the hell? I didn't even vote for Sebi. That's the shit that creates emotional attachment, so...

:10: points. You got my attention, girl.

Not terrible, but it seems like a mess of different parts that were put together to please different groups of the population. This is exactly the kind of music that could only ever exist to make it to Eurovision, not even win it, just to make it. There is no reason for something like this to exist otherwise!

The live is very good. Today I felt the song. :8: points for now... Very professional song and deep melody, her live caught my attention. Raylee is still my favorite ... :(

I'm pretty pleased with this, mostly because I did not sit through six weeks worth of Norwegian mediocrity to see KRISTIN win over Ulrikke, who was head and shoulders above the other 24 acts. A comfortable entry, but she sells it well. Good job to Morland and Christian from A1 for building her a solid foundation to work off. Nothing feels forced or fake.

Time ago I would have related to the lyrics pretty much, so this already makes me feel an emotional connection with this song. It's a nice ballad overall, and probably my 2nd favourite ESC entry so far. I'm not sure yet.
