Listened to Spirit in the Sky for the first time now - it's good, the joiking(?) part is bad, BUT considering the great response it gets here I'd say it is easily the fanwank of the season.

Not a winner, but I guess it will qualify

I think it is a fanwank, yes, and in current form I reckon it'd finish around 15th.

But I love it personally, so the flop prediction isn't going to stop me personally from being part of said fanwank

In all honesty, Fred was super-nervous tonight and could never get his first note for the joik solo. Listen to the studio version to hear just how epic it is when it is nailed. It's so annoying because he's done it perfectly on numerous occasions in other live performances. But hey, there's just over 2 months to perfect it now so I have every faith!
