Well I know in my heart he was the best! No-one or any amount of votes will tell me differently.

Yep, if you think he was the best to you there's nothing wrong with that. I support everyone's individual taste in music and that's what the whole contest should be about.

prince Charming was charming but not understood. "My hard is yours" was interpreted in a different way. :D

Actually pronouncing 'Heart' doesnt suit it, as an English first language speaker I can tell you that 'hard' sounds better. :p

??? can i recommend you listen to "My Heart Will Go On".. quite clearly pronoucing Heart correctly works

and Didrik's lower register was beyond dreadful, the end was very good but really he should've had a song better suited to his voice as he really can't sing that low :|

Can I recommend you don't advise my opinion please Martin. Everything I write is my opinion so don't be telling me it should be heart if I like it as hard. I suggest if you wish to comment on a bad song then go to the Irish thread. :)

I don't think getting chippy with people just because their opinion differs from yours is really the way to go. Quite obviously many, many people thought he didn't sing it well, and the voting reflected that. He deservedly finished nowhere.

You obviously fancy the pants off him, and that affects your hearing, and that's fine. Everyone has different reasons for liking songs and ignoring the truth. Nobody is trying to change your opinion, as that would be pointless, but merely pointing out that your obvious infatuation may have coloured your judgement a bit.

maybe listen to the first half of the performance again, imagining he looks like quasimodo instead od David Beckham, and judge it fairly from that? Either way, he finished nowhere, with a very strong song, so surely the performance must have had something to do with that?

Well, I don't think anyone here has "the truth", since we all don't have the musical knowledge needed to know it ;) (I've even studied music for many years and I feel I still don't have).

I think his performance was not especially good, but either thad bad to finish 20th. I don't think he did bad just due to his performance, but because the song was a bit cliché, the running order was not good and, especially, because there were too many ballads and most of them couldn't stand out. But that's only my opinion, not the only truth, of course ;)

I wasnt talking about whether or not he should say 'heart' or 'hard' and somebody who doesnt even like the song or Didrik was telling me what I should think. And also before you start to interfere again, Martin is trying his best to aggravate me so I have every right to get chippy as I know what he is doing.

Well by getting arsey, you're playing into his hands then? :?:

And my 'interfering' is just posting my opinion on a forum, rather a good place for opinions don't you think??

I love the song, and enjoy it on the CD very much but the first part of his performance on Saturday was very poor and the votes reflected that. Just pointing out that his looks seem to have affected your hearing. It doesn't matter either way, as it's the voters that make the ultimate decision, and they spoke by not voting for him. A better performance and the song had top 10 potential.

Anyway, not trying to aggravate you, just discuss the contest. Everyone can like and think whatever they want, as that is what the contest is all about. :)

I didnt mean you were interfering stating your opinion, your opinion is that he was out-of-tune, the fact is that he was in-tune but you have to realise that Martin is only trying to annoy me so that is why I was chippy.

So it's an 'opinion' of many, many, many people that he was out of tune at the beginning and your 'fact' (not tainted by the bias that you fancy the arse off him) that he wasn't??

I thought love was blind, but maybe love is deaf? :)

Just teasing you, I know you love the bloke and will defend him whatever. Good luck to you, and as I say, it's all irrelevant as the majority of europe agree with me, as his final position shows.

Long live Eurovision and different opinions!! ;)

Everyone has a right to voice their opinion about the singer/song....may it be good or bad criticism.
What we don't allow on this board is attacks towards our fellow board members. Please keep that in mind.

During his web chat this morning, Didrik stated that his best Eurovision friend is Josh! He also said that he would be interested in working with Josh in the future on some material so I hope it happens!! :D Although I'm doubtful
