Re: New smilies/Country Flags (start to suggest & flag smilies update!)
that Yugoslavia that showed up in 1991, after Croatia and Slovenia left former Yugoslavia (SFRJ) is not a successor of SFRJ. they just took the name but that wasn't the same country
btw, the name was changed in 1929.
actually, Kingdom of Slovenians, Croats and Serbs was first. and we weren't independant till then, we were a part of Austrian-Hungarian monarchy (I think Serbia and Slovenia were as well but I could be wrong)+1 Everything is totally correct Yugoslavia changed the name to Serbia & Montenegro in 2003. Of course, it was basically just Serbia & Montenegro in period from 1991 to 2003 as well, although it kept the name of the old country in that period. Btw, Yugoslavia was actually a second name of the country (country association). The original one was called "Kingdom Of Serbs, Croats And Slovenians" and was in charge during the period between 1918 and 1940's (not sure what year exactly).
Before this, of course, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia etc.....were independent countries just like now.
And, during the Yugoslavia period, the colors of the flag didn't change, but the symbol did. From the 40's and until 1991 the blue-white-red combination had a red star as well on the flag.
