Re: MOLDOVA 2012

you like only ethnic songs?

No, definitely not.

However I really liked "Hora din Moldova", so a rocky ballad in very broken English doesn't sound that good on paper atleast compared to that one.

On the other hand I really liked Alyosha in 2010, and I guess on paper it would have been described as just that lol.

Oh I meant is it like Alyosha's in the style? I didn't mean the lyrics or theme.

I agree about that though, but just if they can handle it.

Re: MOLDOVA 2012

What? It's in English and mainstream Pop? Where is A-lister and what did you do to hiM?????

Haha

People must really misunderstand me or something, I like different stuff.

It did sound very Euro however, and didn't sound too off from that Romanian club sound, so still in terms of mainstream music quite authentic. :)

But my favorite from Moldovan 2010 selection was Leylla (which was both in native language + with ethnic elements), but juries robbed her chances by not picking her to the final.

SunStroke was my second choice though and the saxophone guy was just brilliant :)

I LOVED their 2012 entry, this is decent, although they are smart to capitalise on epic sax guy. If Moldova vote for them to win, the hype on the net when they find out about the return of epic sax guy will be huge.

Oh, and I actually really like Nelly's song.

Oh, I liked Geta's ESC entry, kind of overlooked.

Pasha was kind of robbed last year aswell, although not my first pick (Karizma was), it was still miles better than what we got and had real potential to score high in ESC I think.

^ Karizma was my 1st pick as wel :D

Pasha is usually supported by Russian speaking audience (imo, with the right song he can be chosen by televoters, not sure about the jury) and I also liked Geta )))

A total of 83 songs are in the running to represent Moldova in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, 15 down on 2011. Among the applicants we can spot several well-known names, both singers and composers who represented this or another country in the past. Full list of participants HERE

What happened to this song? I thought it was part of the selection (or so I've read somewhere).
