i'd put a "pretends to be shoked" gif, but i've used it in hungarian thread:lol:

anyway, back to a songwriting camp because "Save the Hero" is garbage

I hope they do her justice and give her a Eurovision-winning song. This is a once-in-a-century chance for Malta. Hope they make best use of it.

i KNEW that they wanted her to fulfill The Prophecy of junior winner -> senior winner!!!!! i had given up that dream by now because destiny had sort of disappeared but i am overjoyed to know that it's because she has responsible parents that put her wellbeing first xheart i will diligently wait for her day to come
THE DAY HAS COME THE DAY IS HERE

THE PROPHECY HAS ITS FIRST REAL CHANCE TO BE COMPLETED (get dunked tolmachevy twins)

now give her a good song malta lol

I don't love Malta in Eurovision, but I love her. Goddess of JESC, Queen of ESC?

Tumblr, mostly.
Destiny competing in the NF was always the catch-22. Malta basically had to choose Destiny the moment she entered XFactor. It's not even a question whether she *was* the best one or not. (and I don't have the faintest idea if she was since I didn't follow it at all). The fans would have been LIVID had Destiny lost. It would've evaporated Malta's chances from the get-go.

The issue is that going forward is MTV will *have* to deal with their entrant being a previous (and very much BELOVED) JESC winner. Expectations are high. Meet them or suffer. Knowing MTV however, they'll probably meet them a bit too much.

Not sure how I feel overall. Destiny is great and one of my favourite JESC acts, but Eurovision isn't over yet. MTV would do well to not act as if they've just won it on the spot.

I said it before, I hope they will really think twice about the song, the cliché (and wasted) way would give her a pointless dated wail-ballad with some nonsense message that could go down well with the juries but not with televotes who wants something more interesting... or TVM listens to my proposal way back and give her a 90's house-inspired bop where she can showcase her vocals but yet something that still feels fresh and cool with a big hook and nice production... I highly doubt the latter will happen but one can hope and I think it would fit Destiny...

She gives me the winner vibes, though I hope she gets a song where she's able to put her emotions in. By far the best voice, so the final is sure with any song.

One of the biggest problems in ESC since juries were brought back in, sure talent should be promoted, but when songs become secondary and entries are judged purely as if ESC was just another karaoke singing show, it's sad. So I hope that the SONG will also be good, because in a SONG contest you should have both.
