You wanted "Chameleon"? You shouldn't have bashed it. Simple.

Why do you always comment in such a manner... Chill out, and speak more pleasantly. :'D I don't really care either way tbh. I'm not dying of desperation for Chameleon. I liked it, but it wasn't anything super exciting. xshrug

I'M SORRY FOR BASHING CHAMELEON xcry1 I shouldn't have given it 0(+10) points in the poll and endorsed it even over the NF entry of my favorite Maltese singer.

You would expect this type of thing from Belarus or Ukraine and when they do it its over a hundred pages of trashing (people by now should be use to it, roll their eyes and move on). Yet Malta does it and we're told to "get over it, who cares." It should be more shocking that Malta pulled this considering it was the type of thing considered beneath a Western country to pull. I'm still surprised that how little conversation there is about it, barring the last few days.

Drama for absolutely NOTHING. She can change her song 5000 times, she will still be a bad performer. Her comment just leaves me a bitter taste, she should learn to respect those who vote for her.

BAD performer?!

Well, in fact the number of song changing countries grows and grows. I find it a bit unfair, when we always talk about Belarus or Ukraine, when there is also Albania, Malta, Hungary (remember the year Zoli Adok was 3rd choice) even Germany (also already twice though we didn't know the song of Xavier yet) in the club.

I so don't agree with the way things have turned out. I was probably the first to criticize Belarus when they changed the song, so all this drama from my country was uncalled for. However, you have to hand it to Ira and her team as this was a risky move. Of course, all these smart-asses who are bashing her online will no doubt criticize her if she finishes lower than second place (they will of course say 'Chameleon was better. She should have stuck with that one') plus she is accused of favouritism, fixed NF blah blah blah) so in a way it would have been safer for her to stick with the winning song and just went to Stockholm with it.

I reserve judgement till I listen to the new song but I always believe in internal selections. I'm pretty sure people voted for 'Chameleon' because it was Ira Losco singing it. 99% they would have voted for her nonetheless if she sang the same song which finished last in the National Final. It's one of the problems here, as people tend to vote for the singer rather than the song which often led to disastrous results (Olivia 2007, Fabrizio 2006, Chiara 2009 - I bet they won the NF based on their name alone). Ira with Chameleon would have followed the same route xshrug I already know what people will reply - (why didn't she enter another song instead - that of course I cannot answer...)

They've had a preview of the song, and it sounds REALLY promising :)

I have always said that the Maltese NF is a big farce. The televotes have virtually no impact and it's all decided by juries. It gives the illusion that the viewers have a say but they really don't. I knew when they implemented the "an artist is allowed to change the song", that it was going to happen fairly soon. I guess I'd be more outraged if it was a balanced NF but it' really wasn't. Chameleon to me was underwhelming so I'm fairly certain that her new song will be "better".

I like Ira but agree that her NF performance was disappointing but I'm certain that she's going to step it up in Stockholm.

Guys from wiwibloggs.com can sometimes get carried away (espesially William- for example for Edurne last year), BUT I really want a good song from Malta!!! Ira is an amazing singer and performer. You give her a bland song and she will own the stage performing it!!!

...and yet, Malta is in the 1.SF with Armenia, Croatia, Hungary, Russia, Cyprus, Estonia....

It will be an epic fight in this semi-final! xcrossed

Seems like something really "big" is coming. I hope we won't be disappointed - Malta is now on #8 with the odds

Even though I don't fully agree with the changing of the song I'm hoping the best for Malta. I like Ira Losco and one more great song is always welcomed!!

I remember the review of cameleon after winning by wiwibloggs being somewhat similarly enthousiastic as now when they talk about the new song. So I keep my expectations on a moderate level...

So many positive reviews... this must be the best thing since sliced bread!
I don't know what to expect but I don't wanna be disappointed so let's just expect nothing.

I really hope the song is good so that we can stick to Internal selections from now on. Like Matt said, our NF could be a huge farse.
