Re: MALTA 2016

It used to be held mid-February but now it's among the first... probably into the lame bullshit excuse of 'time for promo, editing of the song'... and why do songs need to be revamped anyway?

Simple 10-song national final in March and get it over with.

10 songs is not enough for their "Mediterranian Bank" ads.

I would also suggest increasing the submission period, 2 days is way too short.

One request: stop with Faniello.

I came here to confirm my summer request. Stop with that thing called Fabrizio Faniello. I can stand his sister, but not him, again.

I'm totally in love with Corazon after listening to her Maltese songs. These songs are so enchanting, full of drama and movement, and unlike anything you hear in Malta's NFs (including from her!)

(first song starts at 2:27)

Corazon seems to be a favourite from what I have been hearing recently

Re: MALTA 2016

I just assumed she was going to be eligible in a year or two. Googled her. She's only 12!

She is 13, but I wrote smth like that, she is better in singing technique than 90% of ESC singers me thins, and that composition with which she won yesterday is so groovy, I wrote I'd like smth like that for Malta in ESC in Stockholm.

She maybe is 12 or 13, but she had a better song than the last 5 Maltese ESC contestants.

Re: MALTA 2016

Malta has sent great entries to JESC in the past 3 years and the results show it. Their entries in the JESC were better than their entries in the ESC every year actually.

Re: MALTA 2016

Don't really pay attention to JESC but listened to the Maltese song this year. It's such a Forget You/Fuck You ripoff. I thought it was rather underwhelming. I think that Malta has had a bunch of great entries. Tomorrow and Coming home come to mind, both were fantastic entries. Granted, Amber's song was garbage but I always have fairly high expectations when it comes to Malta. Fingers crossed for something awesome in 2016.

Agreed! I wasn't the biggest fan of Malta's 2013 JESC winner, and probably liked their ESC entries over the last few years more than most people, but their JESC entries as of late have just felt more... professional, I suppose? Although the one JESC entry from them that I've liked the most (2014) was the one that didn't win :(

Re: MALTA 2016

I think you can't compare JESC and ESC regarding the factors that make a winner. Less countries, less attention in the countries, language rule, Kids jury,.... So many factors that could influence a victory....
