Gjoko is definitely singing on Macedonian and he is having Billy Zver and Pejcin with him on stage. What I read on "Makedonska muzicka mreza" is that they are probably gonna have 3 female dancers with them on stage. Thats all nice, as long as Gjoko asks for some special effects in Oslo (even have some wings on the screen behind him when he sings "gi siram kriljata" to catch the moment  ).
I heard his performance in Sarajevo, he did really well. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbLuP0tx91Q

Now, my fellow Macedonians, that we have all the songs in the first semi, what do you think of how things will go? Where does Gjoko stand and could he pass through the final?
Here is the recap:

Given the quality of the songs in this semi, I think Gjoko should qualify without any problems. :)

Not as bad as this entry is generally thought to be. But certainly not on the cutting edge of musical innovation! A little too much pathos, for my tastes. But I dare say this actually suits ex-Yugo tastes fairly well.

Wonder why truly modern music rarely makes it to the ESC from the Balkans. Surely enough people there don't have oldschool/low-brow music tastes...?

Kudos for singing in Macedonian. Would be disastrous in English, I dare say.

I think the chances are 50/50 Alek. it's that type of a song!
I agree that he needs some effect (or lil gimick) in the performance so he can atract some atention.... as the song is not the atractive TBH.
and I hope they gonna cancel those 3 female dancers or cut it to 2 at laest, as he obviosly needs 1 female backing singer!

For me it's one of the best songs 2010, along with Croatia, Norway and Turkey. :)

I was actually thinking the same about the dancers. I don't know how would they dance on this kind of a song. A backing vocalist or two would be nice, although he himself doesn't need any.  Maybe for a better effect. Well this is the 10th attempt at ESC, they better come up with something nice (performance-vise).
I think the only handicap is the fact that there are only 4 traditional televoters. And he has to rely a lot on the jury too. By all means, if the jury doesn't vote for Macedonia then I believe that our jury made a mistake voting for him or it was a set-up (likely).

Btw, now that we have all the songs I could predict how will the Macedonian jury vote. Its early to predict about the televoting.
12 - Slovakia ?
10 - Bosnia and Herzegovina
8 would go for Poland
7 for Albania
6 - Finland
5 - Iceland
4 - Malta
3 - Moldova ?
2 for Latvia
and maybe 1 for Serbia or Greece

The video for this song will be released on March 30th and it will feature some of Macedonia's top models. :D I think the video will be sort of a surprise. Meanwhile, Gjoko is preparing for Oslo. The work is now on the choreography, which I think is a good idea. Good, things are moving forward!

Many beautiful girls will appear in his video, one of them is Natalija Grubovic a.k.a. "Natali daj mu na covekot". I don't remember who else is there. What I do know is that Deana Nikolovska will be a backing singer in Oslo. :D

article about the video can be read here > http://vest.com.mk/?ItemID=CBBE5423DC80 ... E17E9BE249

basicly they say the video is about Gjoko with the girls and the Macedonian flag -mk :p pretty simple :p

they also say that Gjoko wants to travel to Oslo with mini bus so he can visit the countries from the south to the north of Europe so he can do a documentary on the road :)

I don't know about any new version either.  I found that some people in Macedonia were criticizing his travelling agenda to Oslo. They are not fond of the idea that Gjoko should go on by car or minibus to Oslo and take pictures and put them on Facebook. However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop along to some places in Europe and give a performance along the way, on some of the squares in the local cities or whatever and try to put a small campaign.
What I also didn't knew about Gjoko is that he has already performed on some festivals in Europe. I heard he was on the Radijski Festival in Serbia, 2008. He was also on the Slavjanski Pazar in Belarus, I think in 2007. So, it is not like is a freshman. Besides, he was in Kiev in 2005 as a backing vocalist for Martin Vucic.

the new version  ? they said they didn't changed anything :?
dunno, for me his Bosnian performance sounded a lil' bit different than Macedonian, talking about music. + he seemed more confident.
Maybe I missunderstood something but I really liked his performance  :)

After Portugal and before Belarus! Just as I wanted, right between two bland ballads!
