The 'foreigners' in Luxembourg are… local. The 'foreigners' involved in this selection are not. The thing is we have a really creative and pretty unique music scene here in Luxembourg because of the melting-pot that we are, but that doesn't show at all in the selection. The only 'locally bred' song is Edsun's - and yes, I personally don't like it, but there were lots of others that didn't go through because RTL deemed they weren't 'Eurovision enough'. Chaild's song with Maz, which got discarded by RTL's 'international jury' is a good example. Same with the local band Schëppe Siwen, which sang in Luxembourgish. Both of those would have been great contenders. Might not have qualified either, but at least they would have been representative and unique. I'm just really sad about (or pissed off with…) the lack of authenticity there is in this selection. RTL really messed it up.Luxembourg is like 45% foreign nationals I'm not sure why people are surprised that there is plenty of foreign involvement in their nf
I‘m glad that Joel is competing with a different song than we expected. It’s good but still has now wow moment though. It would be my choice out of those 8 songs. All in all it’s a decent enough first NF effort from but the final is not guaranteed with this song selection.

Feels like San Marino 1 in 360 style meddling. Another country that often lacks any local flavour. Although I've enjoyed some of their entries and to be fair some acts like Senhit were italian. The 'foreigners' in Luxembourg are… local. The 'foreigners' involved in this selection are not. Also, a number of the Luxembourgish artists who were chosen in the first round travelled to work WITH songwriters abroad (who had asked to work with them) and co-wrote songs with them. This was of course a great opportunity and experience for them, and the result was authentic and 'personal' - but even those songs were ditched by the broadcaster to favour the Björkman-clique songs…According to a post (screenshot) in a Eurovision group, a Luxembourgish producer confirmed that artists sent their own songs and they were told that they would enter the next round but they "had to sing" the these new songs by foreign producers or leave.
This screenshot could be fake, of course but it's quite fishy... I'll post more Information on it if I find them
Even if the songs are distinctly average and don't feel like qualifiers, maybe the 'novelty' or 'feelgood' factor from a return after 30 year gap will give Lux a public voting boost? I don't think that alone is enough though to qualify
Surprise, surpise: Tali Eshkoli is one of the executive producers of 3 out of 8 songs. And Tali was in the jury!!!
Seriously guys.... that's absolutely shameful and embarrassing.
should cancel this NF as it is. It's ridiculous and outrageous.
This is worse than Poland/Blanka2023
