that sounds like a reasonable price, to be honest. Eurovision in Concert is around that price, and this selection is held in a notoriously expensive country.

Can't believe they're doing the 'once an hour' reveal again… Hoping for the best though!
Can't wait to hear the songs, but I'm afraid I have too high expectations…

(Also, really hating RTL's ESC graphic design & social media posts since they (apparently) changed the person doing this last month)

Oh lovely. I have to work until 4 pm tomorrow - so when I'm back home I can listen to the songs without having to sit and wait for 8 hrs.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for some competitive songs! I don't want to see :lu: fail after coming back after such a long hiatus.

Good morning. I was able to listen to the first entry whilst sipping my Espresso and I was pleasantly surprised. "Drop" sounds alright and is genuinely catchy. The voices compliment each other and it sounds like a jury-friendly mid-tempo radio pop song without sounding too generic.
But honestly, I can't see it qualifying in May. Parts of the lyrics are quite clumsy or predictable...giving me some X Factor finals vibes but I guess you'll be getting such formulaic (but still decent and catchy English songs) when you ask such jury to make a decision.

Hoping for the other entries to be more daring, bold and interesting but it was a decent and solid start.

I am SO disappointed with the first songs I've heard.
To be honest, I don't dislike Drop, it's catchy and knowing the two singers, I think it will be much better live.
But I can't believe that Luxembourg gave this awful Swedish-written song to Chaild. I mean, they discarded his song with Maz (which was solid, original, and also had Luxembourgish at the end), and all of his own songs to give him this?!? I mean WTF.
And they imposed Joel Marques (who didn't even want to do ESC this year) with a meh song, leaving Edsun, who is sweet, but let's face it, his song is not that good.
Hoping something better comes up in the next songs.
But really, Luxembourg, you did everything well up until now, and then you fucked up.

All songs are quite disappointing so far, including Naomi Ayé (just played). That will be hard for Luxembourg in May ...

The next two songs (Kriek & Naomi Ayé) were better - though the shitty videos don't help any of the artists…
Again, having already seen Naomi live, I think it might make a difference when she sings the song on stage.

My top 4:
Tali
Kriek
Naomi Ayé
Angy & Rafa Ela

Overall disappointed that RTL has chosen so many songs that were not written by local artists or the participating artists themselves (most of them are singing other songs than the ones they originally entered with…).

At this point, I'll just be happy if Luxembourg qualifies…

Of the eight songs, Naomi Ayé's is entirely in French and TALI's is mainly in French with a few lines in English. I think that the older generations who remember Luxembourg's previous Eurovision era will vote for either of those two songs partly out of nostalgia and partly because they're not used Luxembourg sending a song in a language other than French.

I'm really disappointed in so many songs being written by composers with other nationalities too!
I do think that Luxembourg has a good chance of qualifying if you guys choose Tali though. Perhaps Krick or Naomi Ayé could qualify too.
I've got pretty much the same top 4 as you! :D

what the actual fuck. Today's parents were SMALL CHILDREN when Lux last took part. Nobody under fifty has any recollection of Luxembourg directly participating at the contest.

Wow Chaild really showed up with his song Sometimes the Universe is Bigger than the World Against Us.
