Tonights the night for shockers so I imagine both the ESCUNITED crew and readers predictions are going to have a fair few wrong

Agreed, this SF is almost impossible to predict. Interestingly enough the betting odds agree with the Top 10. So we all know the outcome will be quite different.

Yes, i'm really thinking that Lithuania has an incredibly good chance of making it for instance. Despite how close it could be between the borderline qualifiers, I see both Switzerland and Ireland not making it. Instead Macedonia and Georgia taking the surprise final slots. I also sense a big shock regarding Israel. Upset could be in store. Polands qualification is also far from a certainty, even Greece.

I'm so exited I could burst. Second semi is so great and I'm not sure who will make it and who won't.
But anyway my perfect, wishful Top10 would look like this, but I only really care for the first eight.

- Israel
- Norway
- Poland
- Austria
- Finland
- Macedonia
- Switzerland
- Greece
- Romania

I really want Slovenia to qualify, it's one of my favourites this year. But I just don't think it will ... but I will pray for her. I don't even like some of the songs on that list, but I think Europe will vote for these.

Israel will qualify. I really, really hope so. My vote for Mei is certain.

I agree. Lithuania are just terrible. But it appears they will win at least one award...

Lithuania makes me want to come out of my cupboard

Of those three mentioned countries they have the best chance of qualifying as well so best be prepared for the moment

The song is cool, severe, a racket to the ears but I find it an amazingly interesting listen. I think it has the strongest production of the year as well. I see why people don't like it but I think it's really great and Vilija is a brilliant performer as well.

Think of previous years when Lithuania has sent songs questioned by fans. They have almost always exceeded expectation and shocked with a decent result. This is a song non fans of the contest are going to lap up. Only the jury can stop Lithuania.. but then you've also got to remember there are other non jury friendly songs in this semi like Poland, Belarus, Macedonia, Greece.
