Tumblr, mostly.
So The Roop are back and their song is called "Simple joy".

I am already SO primed to hate it just based on that title alone.

Sad my favourite little freak Joseph June is nowhere to be found, Andrius Pojavis is back hopefully his song is better than last time because I consider his eurovision entry one of the worst songs in the entire contests history

In the national selection there will be 5 semi-finals with 8 artists in each. The 2 songs/artists best evaluated by the jury and the public in each semi-final will advance to the final, which will be held on February 17th and will be broadcast live.

The 1st Semifinal will be on 13 January

Lots of returnees. Great to see Kotryna and Monika Marija back. xcheer Both were heavily hinting towards returning. Kotryna on her instagram stories and Monika Marija the same dropping hints in her youtube comments.

Kotryna, Monika Marija, Queen of Roses, Baltos Varnos, Mary Mo are all relatively big names returning alongside her along with the former Eurovision acts The Roop, Andrijus Pojavis and Vilija (who has competed several times now since 2014.

Opera group Il Senso and fellow opera act Agne and Multiks return from last year. Also back after a few years away are Clockwork Creep, Sun Francisco Emilija Valiukevičiūtė and known sim-card queen Živilė Gedvilaitė. ;)

Also worth a mention for Lina Štalytė who was supposed to compete in 2023 but her song got disqualified due to being out before September 1st.

Andrius Pojavis, The Roop AND Vilija are comebackers. Not the first time for Vilija, but still :)
Monika Marija wants her crown back and I hope she has a song as solid as her 2019 tracks.
And Aiste... Which Aiste? "Strazdas" or "I'm Like A Wolf" queen?
Not AISTĖ, but AISTÈ (take attention to the last letter of the name)

One more name I forgot to mention. VB Gang is Vidas Bareikis who is known for his eccentric outlandish staged performances. Very well respected artist in Lithuania.
And Aiste... Which Aiste? "Strazdas" or "I'm Like A Wolf" queen?
This Aistèis a complete newcomer to the selection.

Antoine Wend here on this list is not a surprise for me. He was recently rumored to try to represent France but we finally choosed Slimane + he started his career in Lithuania with X Factor so he was also interested to represent Lithuania. He's such a fantastic singer, charismatic and a mix of Duncan Laurence, Gjon's Tears and Amaury Vassili. If his song is a ballad, we can expect something really strong but if it's something else, it might be something very generic and inoffensive that no one notices. i'm very curious about his entry

Great to see The Roop and Monika Marija back too ! Maybe it's the good one for Monika who knows ?
Also sad to not see Paulina Paukštaitytė here. She is a rising star in my opinion and would be perfect for Eurovision.

You can hear a small snippet below. Big time Gangnam Style teas in my opinion. Out in full on January 1.

I was really hoping for the lovely ballad Ruta Loop did with Juozas Martin. Ah well...

I think I don't get this song at all; there's a certain faux-Engrish character to the lyrics that kind of rubs me the wrong way, and might even be a little offensive. Musically it's OK, but what's the point? (For the record, I like his 2018 "Pusvalanduko" much better)
