LRT has opened submissions for Lithuania's national selection. Applications open until 11 December. At least 20 artists will be selected. The competition will feature "four or five semi-finals" and a live final

Top 3 artists in the final perform a second time
Televoters exclusively decide the winner of the competition

Here's the full tender. If it is 4 or 5 semifinals I can see 40+ plus songs in the selection this year because LRT don't do really short shows. They tend to be around 2 hours. It would make more sense to have and semis in my opinion but we'll see. Obviously the number depends on how many submissions they get in as well.

It's literally still the national final just re-branded back to the 2017-19 era and one step taken out.

some countries should learn to bring new artists into the selections and then introduce different artists to Eurovision.

Both of their Eurovision entries were well-received and quite successful. "Discoteque" was Lithuania's highest-ranked entry in 15 years and "On Fire" would have probably even performed better in the cancelled edition of 2020 (it even won that "Eurovision Song Contest" final in Germany).

Let's just wait for their entry. If it's as catchy/instant as their other entries, I wouldn't mind a returning artist that soon.
