Tuk tuk tuk
naktį į širdį pasibeldžia
ilgesio pilna
atminimų lydima
dvasia

Tu, tai tu, tai tu
seniai matytas veide
Ko juokies lyg klounas
iš mano spindinčių akių?

Sukasi ratu galvoje momentai
bėga bėga ten, kur ir tu
Milijonas rožių lyg sentimentai
skęsta jūroje debesų

Ah…

Ošia jūra nerami
man ašaros akyse
Viskas - jis nebesugrįš niekada
jis atplaukė juoda puta

Pamenu, kaip stoviu Nidos kopų vidury
Ir žuvėdrai moju
toli, toli…

Sukasi ratu galvoje momentai
bėga bėga ten, kur ir Tu
Milijonas rožių lyg sentimentai
skęsta jūroje debesų

Sukasi ratu galvoje momentai
bėga bėga ten, kur ir Tu
Milijonas rožių lyg sentimentai
skęsta jūroje debesų

At first Monika's song was like wtf, but I have to admit it's groovy. Lithuanian sounds so strange and familiar at the same time, it's like hearing a Slavic language although it has nothing to do with Slavic languages. I hope they don't translate this into English, if they select this song. It will be a risky move to send such a song, but it may work, it' cool and has a character.

Just dawned on me what Not Your Mother performance reminds me off and it’s of a Final Fantasy boss level, where you face Lolita with her goons.
She tries to seduce you with her hypnotic beat and when you think you’ve defeated her, she laughs as sirens go off and the difficulty level suddenly ramps up!
Please tell me this was the inspiration😄

Usually don't keep up with Lithuania's national finals because of how long they are and the fact that I usually don't like their entries, but just happened upon Sentimentai and if it wins after all I'm pretty sure I've found my favourite entry for this year lol (provided they don't translate it). If it is staged well, it could get a good result at ESC imo.

Gebrasy's song sounds like the type of song i'm forced to listen to on a radio, and all i do is wait for it to be over.. xwait

...but then Ava Max comes on and i'm in my happy place again xrollinglol

For me it's exactly the other way around. Gebrasy's song is emotional and gives me goosebumps and Ava Max music ... well it does not get more sterile, soulless, plastic and generic - I hate it, this is the exact brand of pop music that I can't stand. That having said Gebrasy also has some very generic songs as well.

Although originally I wasn't really fond of it, Monika's song has really grown on me. If it gets selected it will be one of my most favourite Lithuanian entries of all time (I think only prefer 1999 to it). In any other case, while they have some decent entries, most of them leave me pretty cold and they will probably finish in the middle of my ranking or lower.

As a lithuanian, I really hope to see Monika winning today. I'm 99% sure that she will. I love sentimentai, it's about woman who is stuck in past memories because its beautiful there. And that is so relatable, everyone sometimes are just thinking about the past moments and how good of a life they had in those moments. Lyrics "He won't come back, never... He arrives as black foam" is sad (and cultural/literary thing for us, lithuanians) and gives even more emotions through out listening. So I guess that's the answer why lithuanians wants Monika so bad - she will represent us and our past, our culture and literary. If the Roop last year (and 2020) were representing our craziness as lithuanians, She''l trully are representing - Lithuania. Lietuva, pabandykime iš naujo su lietuvių kalba, sava istorija ir balsuokime, o Monika atliks visą kitą net neabejoju, juk ji turi aiškią viziją, kas tik verčia dar daugiau pasitikėti. Much love from Lithuania to all of you guys.

To be honest, isn't this the least exciting NF of the season? I mean is there really a need to even watch it at this point? LOL.

I generally prefer predictable Results over Bad Surprises. I dont want exciting NFs.

That is as good as any reason to hope she wins tonight, then.
Thanks for the explanation :)

Well I would love a Gebrasy or Ieva surprise win here but well, I'll let y'all have Monika Liu if I can have Stefan and Alina in Estonia and Ukraine 🥳

The real battle is for runner-up here!
Really hoping Lolita can take it and be encouraged to come back again until she wins knowing the Lithuanian people are behind her :)
