Gebrasy is my favorite now. I think he should win the selection but the only way for that to happen is for the jury to put The Roop 2nd which seems unlikely.

1) Exactly, him qualifying to the 2017 final is still his only real success in the Lithuanian NF

Weird, I just realized Eurovision selection is going on in Lithuania. That's how uninterested I am in this shit-show and Eurovision in general.. Checked out the Roop, Gebrasy and Gabrielius songs. None of them are good

This year the Final is so underwhelming. I even can't completely warm up to The Roop. But on the other side, there are so many good songs at the other NFs, I shouldn't complain.

Just finished watching all the 10 semi-finalists, here are my thoughts & ranking:

1. Gebrasy - MASTERPIECE! I love how they change the beginning of the song to not show the LED backdrop with just him and the spotlight. It makes it more intimate. The camera angles are good. Gebrasy's vocals are top-notched and he looks more comfortable on stage.
2. Milita Daikerytė - This is actually pretty good. Her vocals are great, the dancers don't look out of place. I thought it's a pretty decent effort. Surprisingly it didn't qualify to the finals considering there are more questionable qualifiers.
3. Gabrielius Vagelis - I really like the song and his vocals are great though the back-up singers do sort of sound louder than him at some parts. But the outfit and the non-existent staging are such a disappointment
4. Martyna Jezepčikaitė - Her vocals are pretty good. The song is catchy in the chorus. But the ending is weird. The back-up dancers' outfits is a choice. LOL.
5. Voldemars Petersons - I don't know why, the performance and the performer reminds me of The Roop but a poor's man version. The song is not bad, vocals are good. But he should not do the dab, it's cringey.
6. Norbertas - The song is decent, but the non-existent staging and his 'live' vocals are pretty questionable.
7. Evita Cololo - She got great vocals, but the song is doing nothing basically. What's with the cell-phone video staging? Feels quite awkward.
8. Be U - The song is nothing special. The vocalist is competent. But the overall package is pretty lackluster.
9. Titas & Benas - Nothing to find fault with the vocals. But the song is just bland and nothing going on with the staging.
10. Aistė Brokenleg - Sorry, I can't connect with this. Need to have an acquired taste to truly enjoy it.

Overall: A pretty average NF. Putting The Roop in, I can only see Gebrasy a worthy challenge for the win. To be honest, I would have preferred Gebrasy to win the competition as I prefer Gebrasy's song more. But the overall package is kind of non-ESC competitive, plus I would imagine the hate he is going to get if he wins instead of The Roop. I can only say it's just not the right timing for Gebrasy. But would love to hear his future works and hopefully he will return to compete in the NF again with another great entry.

Not being interested in it is OK, but why are you posting that here? Isn’t that a bit paradoxal? Likie going into a pastryshop and telling the people there that you don’t like cake. I am not being sarcastic here, I genuinly wonder. Or is it just that you lost your interest in it this particular year? (I had that experience in the past also)
