Hmmmm. (Disclaimer: I'm not Lithuanian and I read that with Google Translate, but)

Some commentators are sure, that with a song like that we could compete for top places in Eurovision. Are you interested in shows like that, if not - why?
I don't want to go to Eurovision, because I don't want. (laughs) If seriously, I don't really think it is place for me. Different songs, different artists. I don't say it is bad, it is just not for me.

I hope Lithuania will never do that - send the random **** in which the nation would be ashamed about just to make the top 10. ;) As for Jurga, 'Eurovision' is not her type of contest while 'HappyEndless' is quite another thing. I wouldn't mind to see the band performing at 'Eurovision' and I bet it could get pretty satisfying results too. :)

For the last 2 years , Lithuania has been amazing on ESC and i'm sure next year they'll be in top 10. ;) Besides , I have to say that my predictions come true:D Now , I 'm just wondering who they'll sent next year.

I'm still trying to recover from the horror of the 2013 entry - the song, the performance, the unfair qualification...

Donny Montell was decent but a bit cliché/dated song, but I could totally see him again with something stronger and better song-wise... but I must once again stress all the lost possibilities for Lithuania, they had some pretty good stuff in their national selections but tend to go for pretty lame and dated stuff instead.

Actually Mundis & Elvina were my favs in the 2013 selection, but they didn't even qualify to the final :(

I was however thinking of these two 2010 gems: Guoda Isado - Čiūto Tūto & Liepa - Laukiu and this one from their 2012 selection: Martynas Beinaris - Bella Donna

^ So they have had interesting and genuine stuff in their selections, but end up sending meh stuff... but strangely it has been paying off in ESC because the juries like it safe, cheesy and meh apparently and they've qualified for the past years :/ (although I do think both Sasha and Donny deserved it!)... but I'm pretty sure if they'd be a bit more daring it (and not in a joke way) it would pay off!

The Voice of Lithuania is in progress right now, and assuming it lasts a few months, it will probably end in December. How do you think it will affect the Eurovision selection? I am only curious because I remember how many Eurovision hopefuls poured in from it last year, and the first series was not nearly as close to national selection season as this one.

I suppose that if they are in the show they have less time to prepare themselves for the NF?

Lithuania's 2013 was "Something" sung by Andrius Pojavis (not Donny Montell), it finished in 22nd place with 17 points. Donny Montell sung "Love Is Blind" for Lithuania in 2012, on that occasion it finished 14th place with 70 points.

Ehm? I know that "Love Is Blind" was in 2012 and "Something" was in 2013, not exactly sure what you mean? My response was to a comment mentioning both entries, hence why I comment on both of them in one comment.

Let's hope not... The Voice is one of the worst karaoke shows ever....

I think he was being sarcastic. Or maybe it was just a plain misunderstanding

The sentence at the end of this 15min article implies that Lithuania will have a representative by the end of the year (once again, I don't speak Lithuanian and I read an automatic translation), but when they held the NF in December last year, news about dates and song submissions were already well underway by this time of year, and the process began in late October. Well, I'm nervous.

I'm getting worried as well. Hasn't Lithuania always chosen by national selection?
Either A. they will make a internal selection, B withdraw or C decide to do a late late national selection.
