Given she recently collaborated with Markus Riva, if Aminata's song doesn't qualify I'm sure she'll just tell her fans to vote for him.

I don't think Latvia can ever win again in Eurovision. We have to choose between bad and atrocious, so let it be bad.
The only thing I know is that the Latvian television will announce 16 songs which will participate in semi-finals on Wednesday, 5 December.

Hey, if Finland could wait 45 years and Portugal wait almost 50 for their first....and add Austrias 49 years wait for their 2nd....anyone can win and it can be very suddenly.
But okay, listening though and omg, this was a trainwreck. It wasn't much I like here, had to skip like 20 of them cause I couldn't stand either the bad english, the song being boring, couldn't look at the artist that sang it or just felt I had enough of it all. But I came up with 5 songs that were somewhat decent.
1. "Life" Miks Dukurs - Wow, what a voice this man got! The song is far from perfect, almost too chill in the verses and almost too powerful in the chorus, but overall, this is a song that you can tweek a little with. Me likey!
2. "Fire" Double Faced Eels - A very american pop-rock feel to it, but also very experimental over it. Another great singer, but the song made me confused at the start. But the longer it went I did enjoy it and I think it is the singers voice that helped it a lot. Not sure if it would work in ESC, but not bad.
3. "Fire" Edgars Kreilis - Cool song that could improve a lot if the performance is cool. It is a little Måns Zelmerlöw meets Benjamin Ingrosso. Maybe it is the audition format, but it does feel a little amaturish though. We'll see, but I can totally see this do well in Supernova though.
4. "Alligator" ATOM - Haha, this was fun and different! I love the chorus and if Latvia is in the mood, then this wouldn't be bad to choose. Not resultwise, more epicwise. ALLIGATOR FROM THE STARS! Love it!
5. "You Make Me Go Crazy" Markus Riva - Yes, you see it right, one of the stronger opponents to Markus Riva even has him in the top 5! But this is one of his better attempt, feels a little Belarussian (in a positive and negative way if you get what I mean). Catchy chorus and I like the melody. Not bad, maybe it is time to send him now, so he can finally get a rest, even his hair got a grayer tone to it...
So yeah....I don't even know if I will follow Supernova this year...I have done it in the past, but now...we'll see.

Wow, only four of my favorites didn't advance (Audiokvartāls, Marta, Ivo Grīsniņš Grīslis, and Jeļena Matule)
Now we'll never know what bold makeup Marta would've used for her performances

I think Latvia cannot win not because there is a strong competition in Eurovision, but because Latvia demographically does not have enough good artists to send.
I have tried to listen to Latvian songs and I could not listen to most till the end. Two songs are bearable:
