I wish I could like one of these favourites. But while I appreciate the quality, this kind of music is hard for me to like, and I don't like his voice. For the quality I give 7, but it's not to my tastes and this would be a horrible winner of the contest imho.

Is it just me or does the song not go anywhere instrumentally :? It feels like it does only because Justs starts singing louder and with more energy but instrumentally it feels like it just drags the same from start to finish. Maybe is does build but its hard to tell

I wasn't immediately convinced by this (it sounded like one of the less memorable songs on Aminata's album to me when I first heard it) but I'm warming up to it. I get some 80s vibes from the verses, which I like. The only part that will not grow on me is the bridge - all atmosphere vanishes and it sounds like pure cheese. I think it's the beat that does it. I know it's probably finished, but I hope against hope his producer will notice how awkward it is live and do something about it.

I thought it showed in his first performances that he doesn't have any stage or camera experience, but he's figuring it out and he has a while longer to work on it.

I don't get the hype at all. The only thing I remember after hearing it 3 or 4 times is that it sounds like a mix of Belgium and Latvia 2015. I liked those songs, but this one... No The chorus is so easy to forget and I see the juries giving it more points than the televoters.
But since I'm a friend of special and unique music at Eurovision it still gets 5 points from me. But it's on my top right now including Malta and Italy my 21st place.

This is very good song. Not that great like last year but still Aminata did great job.
Well done Latvia once again.

THE GOOD:

-This song is edgy and visceral...and that's great.
-You can really feel the pain and anguish coming from his vocals.
-The instrumentals do just enough to stand out by being minimal.
-All of the above makes this song quite memorable.

THE BAD:

-This song is not your everyday trendy pop song, so the audience is limited in that regard. Not necessarily a bad thing concerning me, but I am thinking of the average/casual ESC fan when saying this.

THE VERDICT:

There'll be one question facing this song in May, and that is: How will the ESC audience react to a song that's this bold and edgy? If the audience has a reaction like I did, then it'll be Riga 2017; if not, then it'll at least be in the Final because it will stand out and probably be in the top 10. For me at this moment, it's among my favorites. 12 points

Pretty good, not as good as "Love Injected" but really good voice, might grow on me a bit more. I can picture the audience singing along to the "Boapp!" sound in the last bit
