The Kantō region (関東地方 Kantō-chihō) is a geographical area of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. The region includes the Greater Tokyo Area and encompasses seven prefectures: Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa. Within its boundaries, slightly more than 45 percent of the land area is the Kantō Plain. The rest consists of the hills and mountains that form the land borders. In official census count on October 1, 2010 by the Japan Statistics Bureau, the population was 42,607,376 amounting to approximately one third of the total population of Japan.

In the Pokémon franchise, a region named after Kantō is the first geographical setting of both the anime and the game series (it was featured in Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, FireRed and LeafGreen, Gold, Silver, and Crystal, and HeartGold and SoulSilver).

Fortune Cookie, I've known for decades, I also like the JKT48 version :p
I hate Perfume :? But... for unknown reasons I'm recently obsessed with "Flash" xcrazy So catchy and fun!
Please not RYUSEI xcrazy

I just revealed the shortlisted candidates for next edition entry.
Even though I (most likely) know which one will be selected, but I would like to hear your opinion first before make a final decision (or using random.org)

TBH Magia is not the one that I would like to shortlist (I prefer "Aria") but I couldn't find any performance that they performed only three of them, I only found the version when they are still 4 members , which is not eligible for :kant: to send the song with 4-members-version :(

If this was an NF i'd be throwing my 12 points at AKB48's "KOI SURU FORTUNE COOKIES" and getting myself hot with excitement at the prospect of that song being sentxheat It's so darn adorablexheart

I had a couple standouts:
That Kalafina song is so...strange...but I love it xheat Was blocked from Something Something Fortune Cookies and instead watched a hot live performance (https://vimeo.com/128005758), and it was a little uncanny but also pretty fun. I like the chorus to that a lot.

I agree with Calvin, but all of them are pretty good! Kalafina and the Fortune Cookies were the real standouts though!

Here are some more opinions, in case you wanted them!

Flash - I feel like it might struggle to stand out in a full WV semi, but it's enjoyable enough and I wouldn't mind putting it on some of my playlists.

Koi Suru Fortune Cookies - Not my kind of thing, really. As popular as the song is/was, I'm generally not a big fan of by-the-numbers bubblegum J-pop, and this isn't much of an exception. I don't dislike it, but... meh.

Magia - Perhaps it's just because I've had it in my library for years, but I really enjoy it; I love Kalafina in general, and this big, dark, bombastic song is my equal favourite of theirs. Part of me would hate you for sending it though, since it's high up on my shortlist of songs to send as Japan NONO

R.Y.U.S.E.I - I like the cheese here, and I do always appreciate songs that mix genres like this. Would quite enjoy seeing you send this.

The One - It's nothing outstanding, but the general vibe of it is really nice. My guess is that it'd grow on me the more I listen to it.

Futatsu no Kuchibiru - This is the one I'm most undecided on. I think some parts are great, while others are kinda forgettable. I'd need to listen to it more to decide overall. The overdone sound effects in the video really distract me from the song, though... I don't see why they made that kind of video clip for it. Sort of ruins what the song is trying to do.
