Re: - KAMANDÉ - 25 years recap video + Find out our NSC 130th entry! :D

NSC 130 marks the presentation of our 25th entry. For the occasion, we would like to show you a quick recap of all our songs!

Enjoy a throwback in time as we remember the Kamandéan entries from NSC 57 to 74, then the most recent ones.

At the end of the video, discover our newest song... could that be our first win?

Re: - KAMANDÉ - 40 YEARS RECAP VIDEO

From Jorane to Mitsou, the country of Kamandé has always reinvented itself in the Nation Song Contest. We are a nation of unpredictability: no one can say for sure what kind of song will emerge from our nation from one edition to the other. And that is what makes us unique. We like to think of ourselves as "unqualifiable": here to provide an incredible range of music, originality and bold choices to the contest.

Each entry from Kamandé has always been selected for one major reason: love. We truely love our songs, and would never substitute one for a "fashionable" (or as we say here, "score-whoring") choice. :p And this is what makes us stay in NSC. No matter our placing, we're still proud of our songs and we still enjoy listening to other countries' special selection.

Celebrate with us 40 years of Kamandéan music with this recap video! xcheer1
(And let's hope Mitsou will break our 9 DNQ streak in NSC 145! xrose)

Milestone alert: Kamandé now has 50 entries to be proud of!

Enjoy the recap of your favourite nation down here. Relive the excitement of your cherished entries, be amazed at the glorious sounds, and be bowled over by some "HOW DID THIS NOT QUALIFY!?!?" moments.

(Seriously. Watch it. Please. I have validation issues.)

What is your favorite Kamandéan entry?

Kamandé now has 100 entries. xmetal

If we count Orovoda (NSC 26-NSC 44), which is part of Kamandé's lore, this is my 119th entry in NSC.

100 entries, 37 finals, 6 last places (final and semi-finals), only two top 6, still no win...
Yeah, these are not good stats.

I, like many others, sometimes feel like an outsider, sending music that only I enjoy in this contest, seeing how my placings go from tepid to terrible. But I still play, cause I enjoy the discovery of new music coming from all of you, and trying to present songs I love to whoever wants to listen.

And I hope the Kamandéan music library in NSC has led you to some good times so far, because each and every entry reflects my genuine tastes, and is usually the song I love the most at the time of submission.

I'm not going to do anything big for the 100th entry, I'm just going to present it. It's a slow tempo one, quite uncharacteristic of the usual Kamandé entry, and a video game one, which is even more particular since I'm not an avid gamer. But I came across this game lately, and this melody caught my ears. Hope it will catch yours too.

Enjoy. xlove

I haven't listened to your current entry yet (I prefer waiting for the edition to start), but congratulations on your 100th participation dear neighbour. xlove xcheer

I 100% endorse your little speech. It's very commendable of you to stay true to your music taste, and I agree that's probably why your results are well short of what you'd deserve. Regardless of my own taste, you keep it genuine and I'm here for it, since I do the same.

Since they joined, Tybaltevans have enjoyed several Kamandéan acts: Garmarna, Lord of the Lost, Patricia Kaas, Oomph!, Battle Beast come to mind, among others. Since I don't have time to reju vote, I probably missed some gems when you NQ'ed.

Wish you good luck in ::grf xheart
