Serbia: this beautiful ballad ended up in my top 5 when watching the preview videos. I liked it just as much live this afternoon, this is perhaps the best song so far. Serbia looks set for a top 5 placing today.
Italy: the song I liked the most when watching the preview videos. It's a beautiful duet ballad, and well performed. What's the significance of the boy on the swing at the start though. Definitely the best song so far, this could win.
Australia: say what you like about Australia taking part in the JESC, but their entry this year is a very good power ballad, and well sung live. This was in my top 10 among the preview videos and I'm hoping for a top 10 placing this afternoon.
Israel: a beautiful ballad sung in Hebrew. Much better than "TOY" in this year's ESC back in May 2018. This was one of my most-liked songs among the preview videos earlier, and I liked it just as much live. A top 5 contender, I wouldn't mind this winning.
A very serious song that could be even appropriate for adult ESC. A polar opposite of French song prior.
Its very good, but I´m not sure how well will it be received.
France: Welcome back, after just one previous entry in 2004. A lively catchy song, well performed live. This was one of my most-liked songs among the preview videos, and I like it just as much this afternoon. Definitely top 5.
F.Y.R. Macedonia: this was among my least-liked songs amongst the preview videos, and I'm not that keen on it live either. It's well sung but I think this is destined for the right hand side of the scoreboard.
Armenia: well I really detested this when watching the preview videos, and consequently ranked it bottom. It's just as bad live. What's the significance of the orange circles on the background? Why's the boy wearing a green suit? I hope this finishes bottom of the scoreboard, definitely the worst song so far.
