Oh, no! I wanted the contest to become extinct... Or at least have everyone take part again. Not only the same countries from the same region(s)... :(

The stage seems totally cool, though.

Sweden changed their mind? I thought they were withdrawing.

Anyway, nice :) I hope we will (once again) end in top 10

This is what I found:

Children between 10 and 15 years old from fourteen nations will compete in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010, to be held on 20th November in Minsk, Belarus. Moldova is represented for the first time, Lithuanian broadcaster LRT, Latvian broadcaster LTV and Swedish broadcaster SVT return.
Apart from host broadcaster BTRC from Belarus, broadcasters from Armenia (AMPTV), Belgium (VRT), FYR Macedonia (MKRTV), Georgia (GEGT), Latvia (LTV), Lithuania (LRT), Malta (PBS), Moldova (TRM), the Netherlands (AVRO), Russia (RTR), Serbia (RTS), Sweden (SVT) and Ukraine (NTU) signed up for the eighth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Oh great :D Then it's probably true.

^ there can be no JESC anymore, starting from the next year )))

I must admit that I lost an interest myself.
I'd rather watch it as a concert than some competition :)

^ Unfortunately, no.
According to Belarusian JESC executive producer JESC 2010 can become the last one.
Also, the head of Armenian delegation was the 1st who leaked that info :) It was everywhere in the press here xshrug

Well I read it also now on esckaz.com

I hope it is not true, but I do think this contest needs a new injection to survive, to attrack more countries of western europe like France,UK,Germany,...

It's not surprising. I also believe that its very likely for this JESC to be the last one. The interest in these participating countries is also not very big, and not to mention the others. In Serbia for example NOBODY knows what is our entry this year, except the OGAE people
