WV73 NF: Themes from the Fateverse
Introduction
Rejoice, WorldVision: Japan is back with another national final! After keeping a fairly low profile for a couple of editions, it's time to put my fate in the hands of my lovely NF voters once again. I've got quite the lovely selection this time around, if I may say so myself: a selection of the best opening and ending themes to come from the Fate franchise! For a quick run-down on a topic I don't entirely understand myself: it all started with the 2004 visual novel
Fate/Stay Night, which quickly grew to be a cult classic. The VN's popularity spawned a wide range of sequels, prequels, spinoffs, adaptations, alternate universe stories and more... and over twelve years from the game's initial release, it's still flowing thick and fast, giving us
this very impressive list of works now set in the 'Fateverse', as it has come to be called.
For this NF, I'd initially planned to have music representing a wide selection of different Fate works from over the years... but, alas, I couldn't shake my bias! I couldn't stop myself from cramming in all four major themes from
Fate/Zero - my personal favourite from the franchise, both musically and as a whole - leaving me with only two more slots to fill with other selections. In terms of artists, any players who have been in WV for more than a few editions may find some familiar sounds here - there are three returning artists in the lineup! I haven't sent any of them myself yet, mind you, but Aimer, LiSA, and Kalafina have all made recent appearances in the contest, having been sent by other Japanese regions. Will you support a returnee, or put your weight behind a WV newcomer? Let's find out!
Send my your votes by email (zobocamel@gmail.com) or Facebook (if you've got me there). As usual, please vote using the 10-7-5-3-2-1 format, with 10 going to your favourite song and 1 to your least favourite, using each score once.

I've included at least one backup source for each video, as this batch of uploads seems to be triggering the Japanese music industry's copyright flags even more than usual. A bunch of my alternate sources this time are actually 'better' than the main ones - in that they feature music videos - but for the sake of a simply-made recap video and an even playing field that's based only on the music, I'm using the audio-only versions as my main ones for now. I'll probably swap over to the video clip versions if one of those songs wins!
Thanks in advance for voting, and I hope you enjoy the selection!
