I said earlier I wasn't worrying about the winner or likely ESC entrant but come Sunday morning I'll be a nervous wreck during the results. If only the ESC finals could be as exciting.

Diodato has a great voice but I can't understand why he's part of it this time,.tbh
..and Loredana... what should I say. She's a legend. An icon..but #1 is a reach.

Not the best evening of Sanremo ever for me. Only one song blew me away. Ricominciamo tutto was overwhelmingly beautiful in parts. Such a humongous ballad. My clear winner of the night.

Some of the upbeat tracks were very solid though. Onda alta was my favourite but Angelina and Annalisa both had Eurovision ready songs too. Loredana topping the vote tonight is wonderful to see but this should have happened five years ago. Pazza is great but not the event that Cosa ti aspetti da me was. Still, I'd love to see her with Pazza at Eurovision.

Another easy Top 3 or win is coming for Italy if they choose Angelina Mango. La Noia is beyond the word "bop". This is an absolutely marvelous piece of music, managing to mix latin and modern sounds, with more orchestral addings. Overall the song is infectious, very danceable with still being original and unique ! Well done Dardust. You're such a genius when it comes to producing music. Italy might not leave Top 10 again in Eurovision in the next 20 years with such an effective festival and producers involved.

This would be my first 12 points of the season. I love her and her song.

After taking a good sleep and listened again the songs I could personally confirm that this festival is one of the strongest ever, recent times obviously.
Last night was a long night but it was full of music, without stupid intervals or similar things. If you consider 30 song x 5 min each, means 2,5 h of good music + special guest medley by Marco Mengoni.
I really enjoyed it.
Top 5 by the press completely deserved.
My personal top 3 are Annalisa. Angelina and Mahmoud.
The rest I liked Clara, The Kolors, Dargen, Big Mama, Santi Francesi, Emma, Geolier, Ricchi e Poveri, Alessandra, La Sad, Negroamaro, Rose Villain, Bnkr.
Knowing how is the trend this year, I think the victory is going to be between Annalisa and Angelina, both praised by all the Juries, press+radio+televote. Both singers have chosen strong songs for the covers night.
The only risk for a non female win is Geolier because he has a strong fan base but he should enter top 5 and vocally isn't that strong to get points during the covers night.
I don't see, and don't want Mahmoud winning again, top 3 yes but not winning.
I also think that Loredana will fail the televote but can get a top 5 due to the press vote.

I'm still listening to the playlist but so far I prefer Angelina Mango over Annalisa

My prediction after night will be:

3 - Mahmood

But I repeat, It will be really close this year.

Hello dear community! So I fell into sleep earlier than expected and listened to the last 15 songs only this morning.

First, a random thought: Dargen d'Amico SHOULD go to Eurovision someday. "Onda Alta" is even more amazing than "Dove si Balla" and I need to get some (elegant) gabber ambiance at Eurovision.
Second: by Sanremo standards, it's a very good year. By French standards, even Fred de Palma could win here.

Consequently, my ranking (through only Sanremo performances, I'll listen to radio cuts today while working):
