I know it perfectly. But why all this progression for months?. Put the songs in two semis and close it with a final.Yeah, I prefer Norway's format. But still, MF has a clear progression. The songs are presented - they go through to the next round, or they don't.
MF philosophie:Sanremo and MF are the two most important Nf and have two completely and opposite philosophies.

I'm not saying that there is something wrong with MF.

There's one big similarity though: together with Albania, it's the only three competitions of the season where we only hear the entries (in full) once they are performed live on stage. This emphasis on the live performance is a very important factor for the quality (in this case, measured by the eventual ESC placement) of Sanremo/Melfest's winners.I know it perfectly. But only two of them use a live orchestra and sing in native language. For this reason I said that MF and Sanremo are completely different. It's a long long long long time I don't listen a song in Swedish in ESC.There's one big similarity though: together with Albania, it's the only three competitions of the season where we only hear the entries (in full) once they are performed live on stage. (The big pool of submissions to choose from is of course very important as well, which is why it doesn't work as great for Albania as for the other two).
