This song has such a realness. If it connects with you it goes directly into your heart and soul.
I have heard all the new songs released yesterday. To my point of view the difference between Brividi and most of the songs is enormous. I know that eurovision fans are a complex galaxy and we have so many different tastes but if you think in a objective way its impossible to compare this song to Give the banana (cute but hard to take it seriously), or River ( ESC taylored plastified song) or Stripped ( full of done phrases and cliche) without mentioning other bland proposals.
I don't know what will come next, maybe will get some surprises by the internal selections but until now Brividi is a league a part, together with Alina but unfortunately she is out.

I have listened to Brividi for the first time in full since San Remo and damn ... I have underrated this one. It's a beautiful, strong song.

Probably my bias due to rooting for a couple of other songs intensively distorted my judgement.

Once more Italy has a very strong entry that I personally like.

I started making top-10 lists in 2015 and Italy was in my personal top 10 every year from 2015 to 2019. (I didn't rank 2020, but might finally do so later this year.) Last year, when Italy actually won after having been a favorite numerous times, I didn't like the winner and Italy was out of my top 10. I'm not saying that Måneskin are bad at what they are doing. It's just not the kind of music I like.

Now I'm happy with Italy again. 12 points from me.
