Sanremo 2021: Vote for YOUR favourite!

Loro non sanno di che parlo
Voi siete sporchi, fra’, di fango
Giallo di siga’ fra le dita
Io con la siga’ camminando
Scusami, ma ci credo tanto
Che posso fare questo salto
Anche se la strada è in salita
Per questo ora mi sto allenando

E buonasera signore e signori
Fuori gli attori
Vi conviene toccarvi i coglioni
Vi conviene stare zitti e buoni
Qui la gente è strana, tipo spacciatori
Troppe notti stavo chiuso fuori
Mo’ li prendo a calci, ‘sti portoni
Sguardo in alto, tipo scalatori

No

Io ho scritto pagine e pagine
Ho visto sale, poi lacrime
Questi uomini in macchina

Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
E parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cosa parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
Parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cazzo parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla

Good morning Americaaaa... ah no xshock1:, that was 1987 with Robin Williams! So ... good morning, eurofans! xwave Just yesterday I was thinking about how many of our artists did not go to the ESC ... one of those who deserved to participate was Alex Baroni (R.I.P. Alex! xcry).

This singer together with Giorgia brought a real Soul revolution to Italy. He was also engaged to Giorgia. She suffered greatly for his death. Do you know him?

These are his songs:

-) CAMBIARE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSPlQcKxZJg

This song won Sanremo Giovani 1997. The jury was chaired by Luciano Pavarotti!

-) MALE CHE FA MALE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2eTHcDrbso

-) SCRIVI QUALCOSA PER ME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxqDvKIuamk

-) CE LA FARO': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cywFDARques

-) LA VOCE DELLA LUNA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzMXIfb5lhk

Warning! This song is not recommended for those to whom ballads are itchy xgaah

-) IN MY LIFE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyGR_jiTl-4

This is a cover of the Beatles song sung in English by Alex Baroni!

-) HERCULES: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tuV6qp9_Bg

Remember the animated film "Hercules"? Alex sang the song "Posso Farcela"

-) SEI TU O LEI (QUELLO CHE VOGLIO): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-UtcT2HwHM

-) DIMMI CHE CI SEI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2RgtjRnoF8

-) ONDE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz6jmDUIlxA

1998 - after winning the Sopot Festival in August, the music festival held in Poland, in September of the same year, the international song "Onde" is released. This is his most famous song from our borders.

-) E' STATO UN VIAGGIO xcry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIln61VY6DM

The duet between Baroni and Tozzi. Lyrics by Renato Zero. I don't know ... this song makes me think a little of Elton John.

-) PAVIMENTO LIQUIDO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vKXJXrXbWw

-) ULTIMAMENTE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx-k661DP_c

-) E IL CIELO MI PRESE CON SE xcry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-y6VMCAOpo

-) FUORI DI QUA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOkrTBPbzLY

The song is lively. Giorgia is present in the choirs! xfaint

-) SOLO PER TE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH2jnY-VblQ

-) FUORI DALLA MIA FINESTRA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_pmZ4oLuiE

Lyrics by Giorgia. The Roman singer returned the favor to Alex who previously edited "E 'la verità" and "Prima di domani".

-) VIAGGIO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUXrmwscdSo

-) MOTHER NATURE'S SON: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6wLihBXPx0

Another Beatles cover! AshleyWright do you see it? We love UK! xheartI also have the giant John Lennon poster hanging on the wall! xbowMmm ... maybe I'm as crazy as him! Don't make me angry!xdiabloxrofl

...

Shortly before his death, Alex begins fruitful, and often expensive, collaborations with artists on the international scene, such as former Kajagoogoo Limahl, Duran Duran singer and lyricist Simon Le Bon, former Wham! George Michael, former leader of Culture Clubs, Boy George.

And ... we have reached the end of our musical journey. I hope the music has been to your liking xmusic

Anyway ... I still can't understand... you help me xpray ... Mauveee save me you! Why do I want to sing most of these songs to Franzilein?! xheart Ah! Damn romanticism!xgaah:lol:

Bye, friends xbeach
Well, I am not sure if these long lectures/long posts are romantic! After reading, Franzilein will be xstars :ROFLMAO: But talking of "Good morning", I knowhow your day usually begins:

My messages are real journeys xrollinglol Didn't you like swimming in the sea of Soul? Anyway, you are right. Compared to normal messages, mine have the same duration as a Kolossal, like "Ben Hur"xrofl

About romanticism ... Oh Mauve! Love is a stormy sea that often crashes against the weak breakwaters of our weak heart! xheart How could I summarize my romantic gestures? Thinking only of summarizing our gestures of love means taking away "spontaneity". Loving with the mind, in an intelligent and measured way rather than with the heart ... is a weak imitation and often an articulated lie.

My God! I look like poor Werther pining for love! xfaint

Forgive me, I often like to travel with the imagination. It is a professional deformation

A rose for you, auntie Mauve xrose

A bit of history.
Our Legendana Berte presented a song in Sanremo 2008, Musica e Parole, but the song was disqualified because edited a year ago by a rock band. She and her friend Ivana were allowed to sing that song on the sanremese stage

Werther was really a sad soul, compared to him, you still have hope! xheart You need three parts to understand love: body, soul (character) and mind (intellectual skills). I think if one of the three parts isn't like yours, it's hard to find your soulmate. But it's intersting to go on the journey and meet different people until you find the one person you want to be together with for the rest of your life. Good luck to you! xheart

Thanks for the beautiful and hopeful words xheart

I will go slightly out of the musical genre. Beyond Werther's powerful romanticism, I have always doubted the reasons for his suicide. Was it a desire for love... or was it the desire to self-destruct that fascinated him? I don't know... it's as if he craves death itself to get rid of his mortal remains and merge with nature (God). Sometimes, at least this is my humble thought, we do not want a person next to us but that feeling, elusive and burning that keeps the flame of our candle alive: to love the feeling of love. How strange is the human mind and heart...

Returning to music ... do we want to listen to Bertè? Here is a trivial choice but one that shows Loredana in the "Golden Age":

Did you know that Loredana Bertè is Mia Martini's sister? :D

Did you know that after Werther was published people took an example and also committed suicide after their heart was broken? I never understood how things can go to that extend. I mean happened 200 years ago and people still take their own lives now when they are heartbroken. But you are absolutely right when you say that people "love the feeling of love". Sometimes it's not a person, but just the thought of it. Maybe because it is so hard to find someone you want to be with the rest of your life. Sometimes you strive after an ideal that remains an ideal. Quite a depressing thought, but that's why music gives you light in times of sorrow! xheart

I don't know why but I kept getting a brazillion message on uploading my reaction video. Don't get why considering my personal opinion on this but I caved so here it is. This was recorded a couple of days after Maneskin's Sanremo win. I may not be rooting for the song but I will always be rooting for Italy.

Yes, I knew it. Werther shocked the entire public opinion of the time not only for suicide but also for Werther's presumption of breaking with the rules of the aristocracy (a precise and revolutionary social message that he wanted to disrupt
of the difference between men). I voluntarily do not want to understand the act of suicide, but I admit that Goethe managed to embody the whole spirit of "German Romanticism" in a few pages. Trust me Mauve, when I watch a movie or read a book ... I'm not that sensitive at all but ... after reading Wether's pains ... stupidly I cried xcry... Who knows ... maybe just the epistolary form of the written it hurts your heart because it makes you imagine what lies behind those fragments. Did you know that Napoleon Bonaparte deeply loved this book? :D He had read and reread it seven times and had wanted to discuss it with the author in Erfurt.

We conclude this "literary circle" (we risk boring others and leaving the theme of music) with a quote from the book that I liked very much:

"Wilhelm, what is our heart, the world without love? It is like a magic lantern without light! But as soon as you introduce the lamp, the most beautiful images appear on the white wall ..." xfaint

Then it is we Italians who are defined as poets! Great Goethe! xbow

I greet you with an artist who surely accompanied your adolescence, a "power BALLAD". What could you expect from someone whose surname is Bongiovi? Did you know that Jon Bon Jovi is of Italian origin? xshock1:

I do not believe. After two sensational defeats it is now clear who the Boss is xbeach

I have nothing against EscTurkey indeed, for me here they are all friends xhug For some users, however, this is not the case. I do not understand the antipathy that the Italy thread arouses in the few usual suspects xthink

We can send Myss Keta when she has a good song. There is too much competition. We cannot focus on the lights and the fashion side and that's it. We will end up last without any mercy.
