It's impossible to imagine this sort of thing on British TV. It would be done in an hour or 2.

I find the approach to entertainment from any Mediterranean nation interesting.

I mean. I don't know if people realise but in Britain we go to bed around 10.30 because we're all tired and have to work ridiculous hours every day.

Are you telling me people in other countries aren't miserable in their day to day lives? Sacrilege

She was #1 in the betting odds for a reason for most of the week....she had a sound that resonates with most of Europe and therefore would be perfect for Eurovision.
But I understand that Sanremo isn’t about finding the best song for eurovision, it is an afterthought or an extra to winning, so that is ok.

Sorry to break it down for you but nor Italy or Sanremo cares about your feelings. It's great fun for them, getting music to listen to is a plus.
Dont be sorry, just dont bother,iv forgot more about this contest than you know.Read the forums in Italy, they are red hot with people over the way the voting system is working. The press are fighting against the public every year and its unhealthy. The press are destroying people from talent, yet that is one of the main ways new artists can break through. They have no choice to go that route, yet when they turn out world class they are voted down. Its a shocking situation. The hope is the artistic direction will change next year.SR took massive jumps forward, but that has taken a turn back.

I remember watching the ending of the UK selection last year, they were just like, "OK, this dude won, goodnight!"

 10 song performances + panel discussion, voting & Internvals all in 1.5 hours. 🔥

BBC don't release any voting details for any show as a standard policy for whatever reason so we got such an anti-climatic end.

How we are all stressed casue of these results, illustrates the fact we are comparing the UK NF in 2017-2019 with traditional Italian festival San Remo? :ROFLMAO:

For this length it would have to start at tea time. It seems a common theme in the south that the prime time is just so late in the evening, while it's much earlier for us. They're too busy siesta-ing it over there. As a standard we are far to use to well timed, fast pace shows here so people would probably switch off after a while.

I don't quite understand the problem you have with Sanremo besides the voting. Sanremo has great represantation of young up and coming artists. This year alone they had so many debutees. In the end it's just a show... and there will always be someone unsatisfied with it. :)

Ricchi e Poveri REUNITE performance from the 2nd night is smashing the views and likes on YT! Me likes... xheat

Can you just pick Ricchi e Poveri for Rotterdam and end this farce, Italy?

Thank you so very much!
