This top 3 is fine as they stand,however it shows a massive problem for SR.As someone who loves Italian music and this festival the voting system is destroying the contest.Amazing songs and performances,whatever our tastes way down and middle of the road songs that are nice,but not ever SR winners on the podium.For the first time in 35 years of enjoying this contest i feel it is on the edge of being an after thought.I just pray next year it is pulled back from this.To see a jury,a public and a few chosen voters tugging against each other while ignoring the real contemporary talent is sad.It isnt a family member hurting,or dieing etc,but outside of that ,it really does hurt to see where we are this year.It hurts to see something you have always loved destroying itself.

4 years in a row, and Francesca didn't actually even win San Remo.
At least the male acts that they send are more diverse than those from Sweden.

Sorry to break it down for you but nor Italy or Sanremo cares about your feelings. It's great fun for them, getting music to listen to is a plus.

I am not sure I get you, how much more contemporary talent than Mahmood winning do you wish for? There's always gonna be some great and stilightly less great editions...
