Re: ITALY 2014 - Emma

I'm completely against the current here
I don't really like her other songs very much (at least the ones I've heard) and from what I've seen I don't even find Emma a particularly charismatic singer (like Nina Zilli was, for instance). I just think she's energetic and a very good vocalist.
I do love Mia Città though and think it can do very well, so naturally I'm overjoyed with the choice. We should all be pleased about Itally's return, quality every single year!

Me too. Their songs are ok, but nothing great. In the last couple of years, didn't grow at all in me. But that's different: it's kind of rock-n-roll and I like it a lot!

It could have a "surprise"-effect for viewers. An UK or Spanish Grandma can't expect a song like that from Italy. :D

This is the perfect song for stage, I just saw couple of live performances and I was WOOOW.

She's very energetic live, love it.
Yeaaaah hmm the only problem i had with the live performance i saw was this silvery overall she was wearing, that's horrendous and has to be burned by some good stylists

Song wise Marco and Nina were hyped a lot and they ended up finishing 7th and 9th whereas Raphael wasn't and finished 2nd. Emma will follow Raphael and place higher with the less hyped Italian entry ;)

That's not quite the reason IMO..
I can't remember up to 5 entries which were great from 2011.. While I can from 2012 & 2013. 2011 was the worst year since 2004 musical-wise IMO

I am the happiest person in the world like of all the songs they could have picked, they went with the best possible live song oh I can't actually wait I CAN'T WAIT. I'm going to spend until the final finding out which of my friends/pubs in Dublin/my hometown has the best television/sound system and I'm going to watch the Italian entry there SO EXCITED!

Don't know if this will score high with televoters, it's alright in my book but I'm not blown away by it in any shape or form.

Im no big fan of Emma and had hoped for Annalisa,Malika Ayane or Dolcenera. However i admire Emmas bravery in going for this and think its fantastic. It really rocks when performed live like on the RadioItalia performance from December.

Out of the 4 revealed songs, this is the one I like the most, and I hope Belarus ends last in their semifinal :D

I want to like it, because she seems cool and she wrote it herself, but it just goes nowhere. It has the same effect on me as the last three Italian entries. None.

5 points for now.

She is crazy !

If she can bring staging like that to Eurovision, I'll have some of that!

Anyways, for the moment I give 10 points, and wait for the final version.

So, guaranteed top 10 then?

It's grover, definitely! But is that good for a festival as ESC? :?

I give 10!
